Community Munchausen's by Internet (Malingerers, Munchies, Spoonies, etc) - Feigning Illnesses for Attention

Today on The Adventures of Someone With More Time on Her Hands than God Himself, Sarah-Jean lays on the couch and winces a lot.

-wild roller coaster of a week. Keeps feeling "Mast Cell and POTS-y" or her heart bothers her or she has blood pressure issues, off and on, one thing giving way to another. Keeps gasping and wincing from pain.
-Couldn't vlorg yesterday because she was couch-ridden all day. All she did was post on insta about how she was defiantly not well enough to vlorg. She's mad that her current BP and heartrate are no longer considered dangerous by medical science, because they were at one point and that's what counts. Mad that the ER tells her to go home when she's not having an emergency.
Screen Shot 2019-10-02 at 22.16.07.pngScreen Shot 2019-10-02 at 22.16.17.png
-WAsn't going to vlorg today because POTS-y and keeps having what she calls "tics" because doctors can't tell if it's Trigeminal Neuralgia (it's not) or cluster migraines (nope, not that either). She claims she "technically has both diagnosis but you supposively can only have one." This is the face of true pain, people:

-This is only the early stages, it'll get worse. It only affects one side of her head and makes her very sensitive to touch (so she keeps touching her head, of course). Feels like the pins and needles feeling when you jump off of something high. Face is cold. Not at the "crying point" yet.
-This happens once a month or once every other month, more often when she's not medicated. Emgality isn't covered anymore and she hasn't been on it for two months. (Pretty sure she showed herself getting an Emgality injection recently)
-Everything triggers it once it starts. Laying on it (which she's doing), touch (keeps touching her face and rubbing her eyes, Jaq-like), light (which she has on), etc etc.
Links to someone who she swears is the same as how she gets at her worst. It's THIS FUCKING VIDEO WHAT AM I WATCHING?!
(That lady sure as fuck is getting someone to slap her in the head while she screams. Is that normal?)
-Been on the couch with blood pressure, heart issues, migraines, and now this. EvilDad called the doctor because she doesn't have Emgality and nothing else has ever worked for her. Very stressful. Out of all of the conditions she has, have had, and "technically has," this is the worst she's ever encountered. This is mild compared to what it can be.
-Remembers she's supposed to be in pain and winces some more.
-Pain is like a lightning bolt through her ear and around her eye and "technically out of my head." When she clenches her jaw because it hurts, it gets worse. The more she talks about it the more dramatic her reactions get because, lol, that's totally how that works.
-Has been using heat/cold packs and it's not ideal because it's temporary relief.
-Mom says since she was 13 she goes from one week on to one week off with her symptoms. Ends vlorg suddenly because da pain.

Comments are disabled, lol.

By the way this was filmed and edited today, so she can't be feeling that bad. You can tell because she talks about the instagram post being yesterday, and that was posted on the 1st.

This whole video reminded me of Becca's "screaming while drying my hair" video. These girls are such great actresses.

She's always clinging to some horrible "heart condition," when in reality, she just has fairly normal BP numbers. She claims that she feels owrful all the time, but it's most likely because she's so out of shape. If she took the dogs for a walk a couple times a day, the majority of her health "problems" would resolve.

Too bad about that 40 IQ, though. Really limits the contributions she can make to this world, as a person with severe intellectual disability.

She's shifted away from her saline infusion circus show to whatever this is. Maybe she's going to go for a MCAS/hurty head syndrome angle from now on. After saying she's fed up with the whole IV thing, I figure she's probably looking for a new source of attention. Her cardiologist is a dead end (after calling her out on her BS, essentially), but I bet she hasn't burned bridges with neurology or whoever deals with the hurty head stuff.

Meh, give her time. Them bridges will be blaze soon enough.

i do so appreciate the "recappers" who summarize the videos because most of the munchies are so annoyingly punchable and i cant stand them for more than a minute or so. I love reading of their escapades as, especially when the recapper can translate the munchie bs language and add snarky comments as well.s

This remains my favorite thread on the farms.

It's been a bit so here we go... I got tired halfway through so please add some input on her whine fest.

We start today's SOS post on a positive note. To me this reads life is finally coming together cause maybe they will surgically insert a tube now. But notice the "mom" drop. Now she hasn't mentioned much about her parents in the years she's been on social media, no visits to them or even involvement. All of a sudden though her mom is in the picture and supportive after not existing for years? Didn't she just say a few days ago how she had zero family left? Still mentions this "abnormal finding" but won't mention what it is. Plus ending off with some normal anelise tactics of asking Instagram about an issue she can ask a doctor about. I mean she is in a hospital.

Screenshot_2019-09-30-19-27-40.png
Screenshot_2019-09-30-19-27-21.png

It's weird to me that she got all dressed up to be transferred to another hospital. If she was going there and coming back to her room I would figure they would send her in a gown, especially for a test. But I'm sure they gave her the choice and she chose clothes cause she hasn't been able to do that in a while. After this she also commented on how beautiful the ambulance ride was. They must be giving her the good stuff as we haven't heard a solid complaint in a while... Just wait though...
Screenshot_2019-10-01-16-37-26.png
She mentuions this study as some point. She makes it sound like they are just looking at her genetics and doesn't mention what it was for but here mentions that everlee will be getting a blood test where they can compare genes and diagnose her with chiari without a brain scan. I am sensing the future posts about how they are all chiari warriors and the donations at that point will be endless.
Screenshot_2019-10-02-20-14-28.png
Oops. They must not have the same happy pills prescribed to her at this hospital as her complaining and negativity start to ramp up soon after they do the GES. Apparently this new hospital got her picc wet and doesn't know anything about piccs.... If a hospital doesn't know about piccs is it actually a hospital?? Complains about how they aren't running feeds... Oh but just wait.
Screenshot_2019-10-02-15-39-09.png
Now she states they had to stop the feed (you know the one they weren't giving her) because they don't have the right feed and it was making her sicker. She complains about not having a hospital gown (which she could simply ask for if she's spending the night, hospitals assume that adults know how to ask for things they want) says she's going to get sepsis because the hospital only has two stars on Google and for that reason also states it's nasty. Sounds like she feels pretty stupid for complaing about her 3 star hospital just a few days ago (most negative hospital reviews are about the long er waits or the lack of pain meds)
Screenshot_2019-10-02-18-59-54.png
Now she's worried she's actually going to get sick? 😬 I mean literally hospitals have no choice but to put patients wherever they have room. The person isn't contagious or they wouldn't put them in the same room. She acts like such a princess sometimes it gets quite annoying. She acts like there's an ogre in the next bed.

Screenshot_2019-10-02-17-57-28.png

She is allergic to everything, gunning towards getting Kate Farms not understanding that she won't be able to tolerate that either. It's much thicker than normal tube feeds which she is already having an issue with. I doubt her tube feed is milk free and only soy (which she complains about how she can't handle) at "her hospital" we only have a soy free version at mine that I've seen. Most are soy and casein. Some are just casein. I haven't seen just soy. If anyone has you can add to this but hospitals usually have the same narrow options to chose from.
Screenshot_2019-10-02-17-57-36.png
Her ogre of a roommate and family have given her a migraine (not just a headache) from the TV blasting and their loud talking, furthering her princess status. How dare they make her share her room with anyone. She's already threatening to leave ama. Cause logic says that she can get an hour back to her hospital, and somehow get readmitted even though they don't have a bed available. And she would be lucky to get readmitted after leaving ama since doctors on the floor and er doctors are two different breeds and usually won't listen to the girl in the Ed saying "so and so was working on my case and wasn't done yet so I need to be readmitted"
Screenshot_2019-10-02-17-57-22.png
Somehow logic sets in and she grudgingly agrees to stay another night at the second hospital in hopes that her hospital or another in the area can accept her back tomorrow otherwise she again decides her only option is to leave ama and take her chances trying to get readmitted to her room.
Screenshot_2019-10-02-21-10-28.png
I find her complaining to be the most comical of all the munchies. Did she somehow expect staying at the hospital to be akin to the Hilton complete with room service and a bell hop that compliments and coddle you at every turn? She thought she could pick her procedures and surgeries off a menu and they would just be done? If anything I'm glad this has given her a bit of a reality check.

You would not receive infusions for Crohn's every 8 weeks either way..

Firstly, infusions would usually only be given if all other treatments had failed... And even if that wasn't the case, in order to receive infusions every 8 weeks she would have had to have built up to that over time... Starting out like one every two weeks then one every four weeks then six etc etc... Building up to eight weeks. So I'm sure you'd have heard about these infusions long ago were that the case.
Used to work in a department specially for infusions for RA and Gastro related shit like Crohn's/UC. I never met patients on methotrexate for Crohn's, but infliximab which is pretty common for severe cases are usually every 6 to 8 weeks.

However I did a bit of looking around and found some interesting info from my local Crohn's charity:

"Methotrexate is taken as a single ONCE A WEEK dose on the same day each week. It can be taken in two different ways – either by tablets or by injection. Injections are often the preferred way to take the drug because there is evidence that taking methotrexate by injection is more effective and may cause fewer side effects than tablets when treating Crohn’s Disease. Sometimes people start off on the injection form, before moving to oral tablets when the dose is reduced."

So that's why I didn't meet anyone lmao :story:

are ppl keeping their ears to the ground about the goings-on with Judd Beckwith? I am probably in the minority in that I google ppl I meet. even though it is all old news ppl get an eyeful when they google him. surely he googles himself? He needs to find a ghostwriter and write a tell-all about being the man behind the munchie. I think ppl would read that if he admitted she did this shit to herself and explain what he witnessed it retrospect.

found this. probably not informative or anything that is not already known https://www.mymanatee.org/published/April 25, 2017 - Regular Meeting on Tuesday, April 25, 2017/9FADEB6B-1866-4191-8E33-6836D9207E31.pdf

what is a LE DEPUTY-TRU ?????
LE = Law Enforcement
TRU = Telephone Reporting Unit

In other words, he sits at a desk and fields phone calls about crimes that do not require a deputy on the scene. Or at least he did at the time, when he was a brand-new graduate of the police academy.

None of this is interesting. He's not going to write a book about his dead wife. He probably doesn't believe she did it to herself because denial is strong.

so he believes it's all just one or two liars spreading lies about her or what ? he is repudiated to be a simpleton. so maybe he just does not think about it. I hope he is with someone new. he is too young not to be.

He probably thinks it's a bunch of jealous hayders or a misunderstanding created by people who only saw what she put on the internet and not the real Jaquie. He probably doesn't put too much thought into it because neither did Jaquie. She never even acknowledged her detractors.

I really think we should leave the poor guy alone. He got duped by a manipulative cunt who munched herself to death. She convinced all sorts of doctors to butcher her. Why wouldn't she be able to convince her closest loved ones that she was really sick?

they did acknowledge her detractors. there was a live. I think it was their first or second live. a specific question and triggered Judd to remark that they have a whole hate website about them. he used the term website.

But it wasn't like Sarah-Jean or Ren who are constantly freaking out because no one believes them and therefore drawing attention to the fact that no one believes them. They just brushed off the remarks about her and gave the "haters" no real airtime. That's one very early mention that she couldn't edit out because it was live... out of how many hundreds of Youtube videos? Meanwhile Sarah-Jean has made entire videos about her detractors and nearly every instagram post is a direct response.

I think people need to remember this when we're discussing these people's family and friends: we are coming at this from a different angle than their loved ones are. We are viewing it from "yes, she is faking" and when you see it that way, it's easy to pick out inconsistencies because you're actively looking for proof to back up your belief. But that goes the other way too. They're coming at it from "yes, she's very ill." They are therefore primed to find the information that supports that belief ("how would she get all these surgeries if she didn't need them? Why is she always in the hospital if she's healthy? Wouldn't the doctors be able to tell if she's faking? They're doing tests and giving her medications so they must believe her.") and to tune out the small inconsistencies.

We also are coming from a background where we know what these disorders are really like because we discuss it all the time. The average joe who has never heard of EDS doesn't know that the treatments she did were overkill, that hEDS and POTS don't require a wheelchair and a service dog, that IV saline through a port is not a normal treatment for POTS, etc. Judd knew what Jaquie told him and Jaquie surrounded herself with people who would back up her lies. Her IRL friends were also munchies (or her "church friends" who tolerated her), and her online friends were mostly skinwalkers who wanted to be her. They weren't going to call out her lies (at least not to Judd, only anonymously on platforms like this) because they wanted what she had. I've used this example before: if you're a munchie with a "service dog" you've trained to "alert to your POTS episodes," you're going to publicly rally around other people with POTS-detecting service dogs because if the word gets out that POTS alert isn't real, you don't get to bring your dog to Target anymore. So even if he looked outside of the stories Jaquie told, he would only see more evidence she was telling the truth. Look up her disorders on instagram and you'll find a thousand clones. This is the first few posts you see for #dysautonomia:

Screen Shot 2019-10-03 at 05.51.38.png

Hospital photos, service dogs, wheelchairs... Jaquie clones. Your options for learning about the treatments for these disorders are basically medical journals, layperson websites that will tell you "in severe cases, you may need a feeding tube" or whatever, or this crap. The two that are accessible for a dimwit reinforce her claims.

I don't think Judd believed the critics. I think Judd believed Jaquie and jaquie's doctors and thought the rest of us were some trolls who weren't worth paying attention to.

Edit to add:
If you doubt anyone could be so stupid as to not see through Jaquie's bullshit, even when confronted with evidence: in 2014 a woman named Claudia La Bella died from complications of an eating disorder. She had been taking up to eight hundred bisacodyl tablets (stimulant laxatives) every day, claiming they were part of a treatment for her cancer. She told her husband the doctor would inject the laxatives with the chemotherapy drugs, she would take the tablets, she would get the proper dose of chemotherapy, and then the laxatives would flush it out of her system before it became too toxic. Her husband not only believed her but was the one who picked up her weekly pharmacy order of $500 worth of laxatives. When the laxatives made her puke, she blamed it on the cancer. When she lost weight, blamed it on the cancer. When her hair thinned, she blaimed it on the chemotherapy. When she ended up in the ER, she told medical staff not to discuss any details of her medical care with the family. Husband thought it was odd but didn't register it as a sign she was faking. She left AMA and died shortly after. Husband had asked her to get a second opinion after she told him the case was terminal, but not because he didn't believe her. Just because he thought she should be sure of a terminal illness diagnosis.

Okay, well, I've never seen someone recruit a caretaker to punch them in the head repeatedly before, but otherwise yeah. CHs can sometimes be incredibly serious to the point where people start hitting themselves in the head to try to stop the pain.

It doesn't work, but I guess it gives them something to do while they wait for it to subside.

S-J can't figure out if she's trying to fake trigeminal neuralgia or migraines or cluster headaches and she's not winning the Oscar any time soon.

Re: Good munchie books, Marc Feldman is a fantastic resource on the subject matter. I know I linked this just a few pages back but just in case anyone missed it, it's the entire book, free on archive, org - Playing Sick
Free book available to read online by munchie expert M Feldman (you need an account to 'borrow' the book, it's archive dot org)
In the case examples, there's one about a girl faking CF and eventually her own death. If you haven't yet, it's a good read despite being dated.
And several others:
(all amazon links)

I have to call someone Mama (forward by M. Feldman)
Mockingbird
Goodbye My Little Ones (Hickey, Lighty and O'Brien) - it's about the first trials of home apnea monitors for infants and how one woman completely fucked research into SIDS with her MBP
Munchausen By Proxy: Identification, Intervention and Case Management - L. Lasher
Hurting for Love - Schreier and Libow

There's another one I can't recall the title of, it might be the one KFS mentioned, but I'd have to take a look to know if that's it or not. It was an account of a survivor of an MBP mother.

A new one came out this month called Innocent by Cathy Glass who does foster care memoirs,
Innocent

The mother is able to continue her MBP behavior while under SUPERVISED visitations. Wonder what thread here I've seen that on....

It's creepy to think how a resourceful munchie could just buy these books to better conceal their act. Are any of you aware of such an occurrence, or are they all too stupid and lazy to bother?

While our MBI crowd tend to follow a predictable pattern and don't stray too far from starving themselves, purging, and doctor shopping to get diagnosed with disorders that have no "hard" test to definitively diagnose them, true Factitious Disorder patients can be insanely crafty. And yes, they do research trying to find things they can do to themselves that won't be found on testing.

They also participate in forums like this and IF, surreptitiously asking questions and shoring up their claims.

[/spoiler]

She is a world class complainer for sure. I wonder if she was originally in a hospital at JBLM or Tacoma? Sound like she got sent to Seattle, that's about an hour away. U of W doesn't have the best reviews and is a teaching hospital, maybe they sent her whiny ass there so the students could practice on her.

Also, liver failure and malnutrition can cause albumin drop. Ask Google while you're in it finding out how many stars your hospital has.

In clinical practice, the majority of munchies (albeit a slight one) have experience or education in either medicine or biochemistry. Those are the ones you have to watch out for.

The internet munchies, well...Sarah-Jean has likely not opened a book in her entire life and would think the Krebs Cycle is an exciting new model of electric wheelchair so I am not too concerned.

I have said it a few times, but I am always blown away by the things some of they come up with just by knowing how certain things can fuck up your insides. I read an article a while back where someone got their vet to prescribe potassium bromide in a dose large enough for a 200+lb mastiff, because it's a first line drug for canine epilepsy. They probably got the dog's seizures diagnosed just by describing an alleged seizure to the vet, no proof it happened necessary. Then they used the drug to fuck up their own kidneys. (I think, I'm having trouble finding the article now, might have been liver damage?)

If I were so inclined I could currently be taking larger-than-human doses of synthroid, a JAK inhibitor (apoquel), prednisone, tramadol, rimadyl, and acepromazine, all by virtue of having a big stupid dog who is both allergic to and afraid of everything. My doctor would have no idea I had gotten my hands on any of these drugs because my doctor does not even know I have a dog.

Like I get the urge to whack your fucking head with a frustrating headache, but asking someone else to do it? Just hire a dom or whatever at that point, at least they might not accidentally simplify you.
