Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

It's not that simple. If you don't release bombs as you get them, you run the risk of some Dem-controlled media catching wind and defusing it with an advance coordinated narrative.

Dems can afford to wait because they have a stranglehold on media. Reps can't.

True..the media isnalways with them

Dems pretty much put the wind behind trumps back early on in the primaries. It was thought that Jeb was the real threat

Auntie Maxine is putting the Kiwi Farms on notice!

"There are these right-winged supremacists up in the hills practicing how they are going to have a war against the United States!"

If that's what she actually said, then I'm curious to know who exactly she thinks "the United States" is, if not the people.

In fact, I'm curious to know exactly who each of the Democrats thinks "the United States" is, who makes it up.

I only wish Trump had sat on this until the election. I'm still calling a fix for Biden.

I don't doubt that the DNC will still select him, although I'm thinking him taking a dive to let Hillary have another go at Her Turn is still likely. But I think the DNC leadership would have to be even more out of touch and moronic than they've even demonstrated thus far if they believe they've got a chance this year.

If they have even the faintest hint of wit they really will pull their Hillary Switcheroo, not because she has any chance of winning but because losing to Trump twice will be a final nail in her political career's coffin and they'd finally be rid of her.

So I remember a story during the early days of the presidency. There was this chick in an old online friend group I followed on Twitter who posted "I hope trump fucking chokes." over the Tramsgender military ban.

I replied on my Twitter with "lol calm down. It's not that big of a deal." because A) it's not. and B) she lives in fucking Canada, so it literally does not affect her.

Well word got round that friend group and within the matter of days I was considered a racist, xenophobic, transphobic, bigot because I chose to have optimism.

And that's the story of how I lost a group of friends. Reminder for context this group still thinks people like JonTron are racist for things said YEARS AGO, so that might give an indication on how these people think.

I understand that people who hate Trump are out for blood and are desperate to pin something on him, but what I have not yet seen mentioned is that impeachment has never removed a sitting president. Two presidents have been impeached, Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton. Both of them were later acquitted by the Senate and neither was removed from office. Impeachment proceedings were started against Nixon, but he resigned before he could be impeached.

Let's say Trump does get impeached (:optimistic: ). Wouldn't historical precedent indicate that he doesn't have to leave office? Clinton was impeached in January '99 and stayed president until January '01. Nixon resigned without being impeached to save face. Do you think Trump cares at all about saving face? Absolutely not.

Sees like a lot of premature celebration. Even if they do get him on impeachment, that won't get him out.

And that's why the best thing you can ever do for yourself when your friends start going into this point of no return is to just flat out ghost them by sliding out and fade away from their lives as silently as you can. Saying anything to them, no matter how innocuous and harmless it may be, can and will be used against you if you don't conform to the suffer pit with them 110%

It's different this time. They'll also be able to impeach Pence, and Kavannaugh too. So not only will Pelosi get to be the president, she will get to pick a supreme court justice right off the bat.

Nevermind the pee tape, grab em by the pussy, russiagate, or any other thing that's fallen flat and failed to stop him. Thus time its different.

Politico has to be one of the few mainstream outlets left with any journalists that even know what journalism is supposed to be about, especially when they do this sort of "long form" reporting. One of their previous ones about the Obama-Hezbollah scandal was a really fantastic piece of work, and now apparently they're digging into Biden's history and dragging the rest of his family in with it.

It's a good example as to why I never panic when it comes to politics, though. A month ago there were more than a small handful of people out there in the world who thought that Biden had a pretty significant chance of making a run at the office, and now he's completely dead in the water. We might not always be able to see the sucker punches ahead of time, but there's one lined up and waiting for every single person who's going to try and step between Trump and re-election. It doesn't matter who they nominate because it's Washington D.C. Everyone has dirt on them, it's just a matter of taking the right swing at the right time and you can take a front-runner from the DNC from the top of the stack to the middle of the list in the span of a few days.

Does anyone really think that Trump only learned about Biden's shady dealings just a week or two ago? Granted you could easily argue that if he knew about it all of this time, why did he wait until now to expose it, but that's because it's easier to bait a trap than it is to go out hunting. Why expose Biden two years ago and give the media and the public all of this time to quit caring, when instead you can wait until Biden's leading the races for the DNC, wait until they've walked into your trap and try to spring a new ___Gate scandal on you, and then kneecap their front-runner on the national stage and reverse their newest, biggest "weapon" at the same time.

After awhile people are going to have to start admitting to themselves that it's really not dumb, blind luck anymore.

Also remember that Politico is only going after Dem establishment because they aren't left enough. I mean, enjoy them eating themselves with actual reporting, but don't think this is journalistic integrity or a search for the truth. Its a bunch of radical commies trying to clear the decks for AOC to become our first Equine-American president.

Damn. That's brutal. Oh, sure, the true believers will wail, 'But it's DRUMMPPPPHH!!!' and come up with all sorts of rationalizations as to why THIS impeachment matters. Still, if this is a taste of things to come, expect Trump's reelection team to blitz the airwaves with every stupid thing Dems have said since 2016.
I'm still curious as we get closer to the election cycle proper whether Twitter will ban him and "the media" will simply refuse to air Trump campaign ads. The thinking would probably be something like "if he can't air his ads, he can't win reelection, ha-ha!"

It would be an exceptionally stupid thing to do, but there's nothing actually legally stopping them from doing it, is there? Obviously Twitter can do what it wants but how about the media in general?

Yup. Exactly the same thing happened with me with friends I'd known for years. We stayed in touch via Facebook since we've all moved around the world as life went on. They all lost their shit when Trump won, but one in particular went completely nuts. I dared to say "you're overreacting, calm down, when did you get so weak that this kind of thing could shake you up so much?" He unfriended and blocked me, and after that none of my other friends ever commented on (or reacted to) anything I posted and I stopped getting invites to get-togethers, weddings, baby showers, etc. I never blocked any of them, but I never heard a peep from any of them again. All of these friendships went back decades. All gone in an instant.

I finally ended up just closing my Facebook account a few months later. Nobody to stay in touch with anymore, really...

Not sure about the legality of turning them down but it would be extremely financially unwise. Political ad season is basically media's version of Black Friday. It's _the_ time for companies to hustle as much money as possible from all campaigns.

Oh I'm sure they could find another campaign or two to fill up those slots.

Besides, we've seen in recent years that the media doesn't seem to care at all about losing income (or straight up losing money) thanks to TDS. There's a lot of private money keeping lots of outlets afloat, and nobody seems bothered by the money gushing out the sides of the buildings.

It's the same kind of thing when these same kinds of people disown their own kin over this stuff; the fact of the matter is, those sorts were typically already individually deeply fucked up with some form of mental/emotional baggage long before Trump announced his run, they're just using him as an excuse to cut ties with the people they were already going to cut ties with at some point over some shit reason anyway
