I'm nitpicking but opioids for rotator cuff surgery are completely unnecessary and OTT . Yeah it hurts and the recovery period is long but the pain is nowhere near 10/10 and can be easily managed with a strong anti-inflammatory and OTC paracetemol. IME the most painful part is the physio and you need to work with the pain to know how you're progressing, numbing out the pain is counterproductive because there's a huge risk of re-injury because you didn't know when to stop.
