God I can't get over how exceptional this looks. He fucking clothesline a guy (probably as pointed out from the looks of it one of his own "knights") with his lightsaber instead of just slashing him. WHY! How does he not slice his abdomen on the way up or down? Why is he even jumping ffs? I mean look at this shit. He's running into his arm! He's probably not even dead. I mean why should he be? Fuck off JJ. Goddamn you and Disney for what you've done to this franchise.

I assume the resistance to the lightsaber blade is due to the guy wearing some sort of lightsaber resistant armor (like cortosis from the EU, but they'll probably re-name it to make people think they came up with something original). The move itself I can't explain, especially since a lightsaber should be pretty much weightless.

There was Cortosis and Phrick, if I remember correctly. It's possible Vader reinforced his suit with some as he takes a blow to the shoulder from a saber in ESB but does not get hurt.

I dislike Jar-Jar but I can say this: the motherfucker had an arc at the very least and (very minimally) grew as a character. I mean he was still a dopey fuck and mostly the butt of a joke, but the dude became a war hero and politician and eventually regained the respect of his species despite his horrid idiocy and clumsiness.

I will say he and Holdo had similar potential, in that if you partially dissassembled both and rewrote them, you'd get pretty solid supporting characters. Hilariously Rose is still shit, in the sense you would have to just completely rewrite the character.

At least I could keep Jar-Jar's origins and clumsiness; just give him a more serious take where he's still lighthearted given how serious (read plank like barring Ewan as Obi Wan) everyone else around him is. Holdo I'd mostly keep, but tune down her bitchiness slightly and make her fallible (or just have her be a mole, either or).

Said this already, but the main difference between Jar Jar and Rose/Holdo as characters is that the former was not meant to be taken seriously. All the moments where he acts like a moron were meant to be comedic, particularly for children (whether or not they work is another story). Jar Jar's character basically amounts to being comedic relief, so one could argue he shouldn't be taken as seriously as other characters like Yoda or Qui-Gon Jinn.

Rose/Holdo, on the other hand, have zero (intentional) comedic undertones to them. None of their moronic, annoying, or bitchy moments were meant to be seen as comedy, but rather as them being smart, witty, and strong. Since neither character is supposed to be comedic relief, they're to be taken as seriously as any other Star Wars character, which leaves them to be seen in a rather unfavorable light.

Also re-reading all the leaks, rumors and official info, I just realized that Yellow Yoda isn't in any of it. And re-reading them, I think the Jedi Paxis leaks from reddit may not be completely legit. The parts he gets from MakingStarWars, BespinBulletin, r/StarWarsLeaks and 4chan do seem legit but one part doesn't add up, that being his claim that the gang meets the old D-O onboard Ochi's ship but the official bio for D-O from Ultimate SW that I posted on the last page along with previous leaks I compiled state that he's just a junk droid made by Babu Frik on Kajimi's droid factory, which fits more with the other leakers and the leak compilation I posted before. As such I don't think its wise to use his info to fill in the gap of what happens between Endor/Ocean moon and Exogol, at least for now. I mean he gets the part about Babu Frik right, but that was already mentioned by MSW and some other leaker 3 days before his post.

The thing is, we nowadays see a frenzy amongst those that support protests against climate change that we have never seen before. People seem to genuinely think, if they don't burn SUVs now, they'll be dead by next year . . . and thus they are almost justified to burn the SUV drivers (who are worse than Hitler!) right with their cars. Demonstrations and protests have become a lot more aggressive and self-righteously furious.
That's why I think virtue signaling shitstains will gravitate towards it in the future. Social Justice is a dead horse and you can't stand out on that topic any more. But climate change, that's the new hot shit to be pants-shittingly angry over, these days.

Well both Climate Change nut jobs and SJWs have in common is showing just how far they are dettached from reality to actually buy into this shit. They want to treat US as the bad guys when if they truly cared, they would do something against India or China...but like SJWs and muslim countries that actually treat women like second class citizens, they wont do jackshit and will rather pick on us because they know we are easy targets that have better shit to do than put them in their place.

It's fitting in a way, though, to have an unimpressive TV trailer for what's going to be an equally unimpressive film.

If the supposed leaks are anything to go by, the Force Flash that brings Ren to Rey is probably just something like what Luke did except somewhat more physical for some reason. So maybe he really isn't there, but I like to think that its just a bad oversight on their part.

I respectfully disagree. I agree that Kennedy convinced the men with the suits that pandering to women and minorities will be a good marketing move. To add to this a big reason why companies keep trying to "diversify" properties is to broaden the demographic appeal and make more money.

Disney is nothing but a well oiled marketing department and marketing people are all about maximizing earning potential with every demographic. That's why R rated stuff like Terminator ends up PG-13 and cute kids and stupid characters get shoe-horned into movies solely to bring in kid-bucks and sell toys. Robocop 3 is a prime example of what happens when the marketing department gets their hands on a script.

When Starwars was released in '77 the USA was more then 80% white but today it's 60%, so unless whitey learns to fuck, ya'll going to be scrambling for the 'token white guy' role within a couple of generations.
That's the reality and Disney are going to pivot to cater to those growing markets. They could give a shit about representation up until the point that not offering it in a product means leaving money on the table in an increasingly multi-ethnic society.
