I've heard the NeverTrump crowd bemoan how "unintellectual" Trump is and I agree with them.
Trump is no "intellectual" and that is a good thing.
This so called "uncouth" and "loudmouth" President has done more to stop the Left in three years than all those "Intellectual/Principled Conservatives" have in fifty years.
Of course once Trump's eight years are up I fully expect his Republican successor to either pull a McCain/Romney, roll over and get crushed, or a Bush, manage an election win or two but be so nonexistent/ineffective that they might as well have just lost in the first place.

Yeah, Trump isn't building a dynasty. The GOP isn't going to abandon the uniparty just because we had 8 years of the finest shitposting and media manipulation in the history of mass media. The GOP aren't supposed to win anything other than tax cuts for corporations and the rich, they're simply supposed to be the other lizards so no real opposition arises -they had a fucking near miss with the Tea Party let me tell you.

Again, as exciting as the ride as been, Trump will have really only slowed the tide for 8 years and then he's out. That 8 year delay is something I'm grateful for, don't get me wrong, but literally no one else could pull it off. Only Trump could do what he did because he doesn't owe anyone, and the decades under the public microscope have ensured all his dirty laundry was already aired. (Also his opponents were ready for Jeb "Please Clap", not a fucking madman centipede; You aren't supposed to respond with being called racist by saying "prove it!", you're supposed to apologize and donate to the NAACP!)

There's no right wing death squads like we were promised. The wall (LOL ITS NOT A WALL ITS A FENCE TRUMPTARD) will likely not get finished and monitoring of it will likely get gutted as soon as he's out; I've come around on the wall as a good idea being that it stops easy border jumping, but really if you want to stop illegal immigration you need to go after the employers who hire them - when there was that big raid in Mississippi,their HR department should have been marched out along with the illegals. The courts are being drained of activist shitlibs, but no right-wing activists are getting in to push things back, just constitutionalists.
