At least Latin America got half of this deal. Dragon Ball from the Japanese version and uncensored, but 4Kids YGO. That still got popular because the dub VAs was quite good (often the case for various IPs)

Funnily enough the bad writing is which has kept me watching RWBY, because is fun to pick apart. Same reason why I haven't dropped SAO.

So feel free to rate me late and gay for this, also this is gonna be a long post so I guess I should expect puzzle pieces, but about the whole "how much will El Chuppo give in sanctions" debate. Here's my 2 cents:
-You can bet your ass Fuhrer LemWAH is going to be asking for the whole gofundme and more. Now I know the more reasonable laws like @P5Fever will immediately say this is incredibly *ejem* exceptional, but Lemoine is an oxygen deprived, mosquito-infected, brain-damaged loon, so "argument form common sense" is a big fallacy here, don't asume he is capable of understanding what he should be doing.
So. With that out of the way. The obvious question is what the hell would Chupp do. Now, the argument from the side saying he ain't gonna be exceptional is that he's just lazy. So let me get this out of the way first:
-Chupp is possibly more exceptional than Marchi. Now hear me out. Or better yet, just go read on his prior Writs of Mandamus courtesy of @AnOminous. That ain't just lazy. What he did with the whole "who gets to represent the company", literally letting one side represent the company on a case about wether or not they have the right to do so, made his job HARDER, not easier, no amount of lazyness can explain that whole deal, so he ain't just lazy, he's a fucking idiot.
-Furthermore, check the hearing. Again, by firing from the hip like that he wasn't just being lazy, he was making his job harder than it needed to be. Why? Well if twitter and Nick are to be trusted (I'd say one is more tan the other, but either way), the reason is because he literally fears the Dallas Morning News. Let me be clear here: while I won't say this is definite, there is a strong possibility that Chupp is seeing this case as a POLITICAL issue which he should be CAMPAIGNING around, not a legal issue. And that opens a whole can of beautiful spergery for us. But now that I made this case, let me say, if he's just lazy… it still could go wrong.
So let's actually try to asses how the hearing is going to go:
-IF Chupp is just lazy, then Lemoine is going to be a pain in his ass. Because what a normal yet lazy judge would do is just give the defense their hours, but lemoine Will make trying to asses the real value of said hours something he has to work for, so I see 3 options. Don't get me wrong I am pro-vic, but I enjoy a good lolcow. And more importantly, I know the appelate court would be appaled by this so it wouldn't last anyway, which would lead to even more lolcowing from lawtwitter. Yeah, rainbows I know.
Point is, the argument against Chupp being a sped has so far been that the LAW doesn't let him do so: The law also doesn't let him treat hearings as trials, it doens't let him let lawyers represent a business on a case about wether or not they can do so, it doesn't let him make a decisión with no links to prior laws or cases, reasoning or evidence mentioned, and it sure as shit doesn't let him decide that Ron is a contractor for funimation when that's news to both ron and funimation, and TY. If you think Chupp Will do things just because the law says that's what he should do, you're even more rainbows tan I am!
