I'm far more annoyed than mad because he said overly confident for a long time that the case was a surefire win.

On another note, whatever happened with Haberkorn's suit against Pridemore (or was it somebody else)? Is that still a thing? Did they settle?
As far as I can remember the suit was put on hiatus or something.

I'm curious what the state of the board is right now. Are people optimistic about the appeals? Unhappy about Ty? Mad at Nick? What's the siduation
Right now we’re laughing at MBA, and we’re just laughing at morons and archiving anything good we find. Typical Kiwi shit.

The end result of the lawsuit didn't measure up to the hype, but Nick leveraged it in a PR campaign that was better than anything Vic could have hoped for. The amount of accusers that were shown to be exaggerating or lying outright was astounding. It goes against common sense that so people would do that simply because they don't like him.

Nick was pretty confident in the suit but hes also said a lawsuit cna always goes sideway for number of reason (in this case Chupp).

As for Haberkorn and pridemore, last i heard Haberkorn had said he was gonna bring the pain or some such a while ago but i think they might have just settled this quietly since pridemore hasnt said jackshit about Haberkorn. Shes still talking about Vic though but my guess is she got a stern talking to and told to stfu and keep his name outta her dirty mouth.

Personally, pissed at Ty for actually boomering the hearing, confused at Chupp's utter laziness, and looking forward to the appeal with that garbage written order Chupp made.

Think Chupp just wanted this done with, and moved it on as fast as possible.
Im optimistic about appeals, as it would force Chupp (theoretically) to actually look things over before ruling.
But my optimism is tempered heavily by the disappointment.

Dumb to ask, but I just want to make sure I'm on the same page. The appeals case concern will only be just to pretty much reverse Chupp's decision right? If so, what then?

From what I understand, either the appeals court moves the applicable charges forward on the defendants past TCPA or they tell the judge "do it again right this time idiot" and Chupp has to hold the TCPA hearing a second time with instructions on how to run it.

Either the court of appeals tells Chubbs to redo it or they just move the case past the TCPA themselves. This would start things like the discovery process. And that's where the fun begins.

That's what I thought. So that's the only real way we'll see any new stuff come up...yeah I'm not optimistic in seeing this thrown in Chupp's lap again.

I'm optimistic about the appeals, but in somewhat anxious suspense waiting to hear Vic/Ty/Nick actually announce them. I'm not really mad at anyone, but I'll be disappointed if this whole thing ends because of a lazy judge.
I doubt we’ll find out tomorrow, not to mention Columbus Day weekend is coming up, so we may not find out till mid next week or the week after.

I don't know if Vic's even appealing. There's been no indication one way or another. I'm reasonably optimistic should it be appealed and have competent appellate counsel.

Of fucking course it's a dangerhair. Starting to think that hair dye kills brain cells.

I take comfort in the fact this publication platform is e-begging for moneys to keep covering things such as 'climate change'.

No surprise in them not getting my money. If they can't even offer up an objective story, do research, and proceed to willfully ignore a whole side and pile of evidence cause it does not suit their narrative. I hope they have to close soon. *optimistic rainbow here*

This is also further down on the Vic article

I wouldn't call the stuff they make fearless journalism, since they are clearly biased and fine with essentially making shit up. So it is, more like a blog pretending to be a news-outlet.

So if I'm reading this right we should expect a notice to appeal before the 24th to the 30th (if counting business days), feel free to correct if I'm wrong. It strikes me as weird we have no word from the plaintiff yet, a strategic silence? Or Vic genuinely wants to move past this lawsuit, which I don't blame him for at all.
