DarksydePhil / TheyCallMeDSP / Phil Burnell - General Discussion

Tevin said it right the other day: If we believe what dsp says... if what he says about his mother and khet is true, then they are exceptional.

dsp is in his worst financial situation, but burnell mama instead of keep helping him, she buys a cat tree, decoration, skull, gives money for his soulmade to spend it.

It's quite fascinating how, taking DSP at his word, he is constantly overdrawing his bank account to pay bills and neither Kat nor his parents seem to give a fuck.

You might think that would be their #1 priority instead of buying Kat an exercise bike for her birthday or getting Halloween decorations.

Phil just described his helicopter parts job:

"They wanted you to get all your work done, but wouldn't let you have overtime, which is illegal. And they gave me a shit ton of work to do all the time. If I hadn't done all the work in 40 hours I wasn't allowed to finish it with overtime, which is bullshit. In the end they gave me a laptop and said: "Oh... here's a laptop, you can finish your work from home." So that's what I did, I'd come home and work for more hours on the laptop. Even when I was sick and couldn't come in to work, I'd spend all day working on the laptop at home.

If I didn't go to work or do a whole day of work there, the place would have completely collapsed and fallen apart."
Phil is 100% correct that his job was vital for the helicopter parts factory to operate. You see Phil's job was the bottom of the totem pole. His duty was to answer the phone when someone needed a part. "Thank you for calling Skiorsky Helicopters, this is Philip. How may I assist you today?" Without Phil, nobody would place orders. The machine workers would have no parts to make. The managers would have nothing to manage because there would be no orders for the laborers to work on. The upper management would have nothing for management to do. The CEO would have nothing to do. The company would crumble without Phil's job.

Or they could hire literally anyone else who has the ability to answer a phone and take an order.

His job was to pick up the phone. "Yes, I need a new circle widget for my flying machine" Phil would find out what exactly they need. He would type it into the computer and see if there was that specific part available in the warehouse. If there was, he would set it up for someone else to mail it out. If not he would set it up for the machine shop to fabricate the part.

This is not speculation. This is not a guess. This is exactly how Phil has described his job multiple times in the past. If Donald Trump's helicopter broke, he would call Phil. Yeah, not because Phil was the guy. It's because Phil's job was to answer the phone.

Remember that according to Phil's own words and with video evidence to strengthen the point, Phil would come home after work and get drunk. Pretty much every day. When was he doing extra Skiorsky work? What kind of work could he possibly donate home? "Sorry, Johnny. You didn't make enough hamburgers today. McDonald's needs you to take this laptop and work from home" It doesn't make sense. It's a retcon and a lie.

This also ties in to the lie, "there were no jobs in my sector". He had no fucking sector. He is not a specialist. He's not a neurosurgeon or a microbiologist. He answers the telephone. He orders vehicle parts. Get a job at Dominos or Napa. "Answering the phone at the helicopter factory my dad works at" is not a sector.

It's been noted before that the changes in restructuring the plant were actually Phil's father's job. Phil's dad was doing things internally to make the company more efficient. Phil was the kid who handed daddy a wrench and then believed he fixed the car.

------------------------------

Phil can't do laundry. His mom did it for him.

Phil has a birthday. Phil's mom sends him money.

Phil can't paint a wall a solid color. Phil's parents fly out to do it.

Phil can't etc. Etc. Etc. His parents do it for him.

I believe this reinforces my theory that Phil's dad did his schoolwork for him. Think about it. We have Phil, who can't count. We have his dad, who is a business professor. Phil lives with the business professor. Somehow Phil gets a business degree.

Something smells fishy here

It would make sense his dad did his school work. Phil being valedictorian and having a degree from fairfield is one of biggest mysteries about him.
Think about it.

Phil's parents allegedly complain about too much homework. How would they know unless they looked at the daily homework? How does a valedictorian not know how to add? How do they not know where England is on a map of Europe? How does a valedictorian not know how to run a washing machine or take the car to get an oil change?

Most importantly, how does a valedictorian not know to not say these things in a YouTube video?

Well, if his mother did buy it, she paid more than necessary buying it off QVC as D$P stated:

I know this is late, but it's hilarious that DSP's poor spending habits and compulsive shopping appears to have been inherited from Darksydemom.

From Monday night's (10/07/19) Minecraft No Chillin' Just Scammin' stream.

"My mom really likes-- uhm. Doing, like, Home Shopping Network and stuff like that. And she sees stuff-- She buys for her house all the time! And so, she saw a few things, and she bought us a few Halloween decorations. And she was like, 'Maybe you can use these on your streams?' And I'm like, "I don't think-- I already have my own decorations for my streams! But, maybe for The Halloween Marathon, I can have a couple of extra things in here or something."

DSP can never accept anything graciously or with gratitude. Any gift, he receives, that's not just straight cash money, he has to hem and haw, and act as if the person giving him a gift is passing a burden onto him.

This also helps explain why Bad Back Burnell Sr., DSP's dad, still has to work a full-time job, despite being in his late sixties and being in such ill health that he can no longer fly across the country to do chores around The Maison de Gout.
On one hand he has to throw thousands of dollars to help pay his failson's income taxes, and on the other he has a chainsmoking housewife who frivolously spends money on overpriced trinkets she buys from QVC.
And every week he gets the joy of listening to his failson snort and whine on the phone about how his internet panhandling isn't enough to keep the bill collectors at bay. And if he could please tip him, because he gets those funds right away.

The Grift Continues . . .

I think Phil's dad still works because he can't stand being around Mama Burnell. He was retired at one point and went back to work, which usually suggests he found sitting around with his wife intolerable. Based on what we've seen and heard about her, she doesn't seem very pleasant or all there, so to speak. Phil has said numerous times his parents had major problems when he was growing up, hinting that his dad wanted to leave them behind. For whatever reason, probably out of a general sense of duty, he stayed and took care of them. Could you imagine what Phil would be like if he spent his teen/early adult years in a single mother household? He'd be even worse than he is now. Phil's dad had to make sure Phil made it through high school, went to college (Phil wanted to give up entirely on the idea when he didn't get into Harvard...), and even got him a job where he worked so he could keep an eye on Phil, knowing Phil's previous jobs usually ended up with him being fired for taking advantage of the company's policies or "quitting" after getting into a confrontation with the boss over something dumb. Looking back though, I bet he regrets not going through with it seeing how ungrateful Phil turned out to be.

Oh man the deep dives into adolescent dave is hitting me in the feels, I always assumed his dad was distant at best because of how miserable the Burnell home was, but now I wanna believe he did everything for dark growing up to the point it stifled his brain lol.

My only problem with that logic is you would think he’d like his dad more...but he seems like a mommas boy. He almost never brings up his dad unless it’s a group thing or it’s a question specifically about his dad, while he constantly mentions his mom and all the shit she spoon feeds him. She gives him money, she buys him shit, his dad....I assumed always sat on the couch distant and fed up with the household

I don't think this is necessarily all that illogical, there's a big difference between being a good parent and being a close/loved parent, and in Phil's case, I think it's in fact pretty damn logical.

Considering how flat out exceptional Phil is, I think daddy Burnell might have been fairly stern/overbearing with him, for his own good; Phil isn't gonna work hard for school of his own volition (And he's definitely not gifted), or be very applied for any kind of work, so I highly doubt Phil became valedictorian without being ordered to do all that - and even then it's a damn miracle he managed it, I would really like to see what he was up against. Add to that Phil's narcissism ("Anyone doing something I don't like to me is my enemy") and Mama Burnell's apparently very forgiving nature, I can see why Phil would like his mom, who doesn't force him to be a responsible adult, a lot more than his dad, even though he most likely did try a lot harder to shape his son into something respectable.

You would think with how often his account “overdraws dood!” that his bank would freeze his account. I guess his gout got to his brain and made him forget that little detail.

Would anyone happen to know what bank Phil uses?
If someone has an idea please let me know, because I would gladly ask them how often one can overdraft so we would have additional information that could either verify or dispute his claims.

Philip "Darksydephil" Burnell is being extra suspicious during tonight's (10/10/19) "Chill" Stream of Dragon Quest Builders 2.
Lots of defensive and hostile responses to questions regarding the methods that the paypigs and tryhard trolls give him money, and pigsplaining tax law and how he always follows it.

Here's a very cryptic clip regarding another Behind The Scenes donation that isn't suspect at all. And everyone should just shut up and mind their business. You're just trying to make DSP look bad.

"Everyone here is probably like, 'What the hell is Phil talking about?' Well, basically, someone is donating something Behind The Scenes. And I don't want to use it, until it's a time that makes sense."

Hey, you troll, don't question the Twitch-promoted scam artist Phil "Darksydephil" Burnell. You're just here to make him look bad.

"The donation is, like, for game credits."
"They gave me a bunch of codes to-- uh, uh, uh-- Redeem."
"It has nothing to do with someone sending me donations and stuff Behind The Scenes., or anything like that."
"Not that it's anyone's business anyway! *LEAN IN MANUAL BAN* It's just, a guy fucking asked and being a troll."

DSP answers a trollcheer from a tryhard troll and lays down the law.

"You could EASILY take whatever funds you have, buy some PSN codes and send them my way!"
"Either you do it or you don't! Don't waste my fucking time anymore, because you're gonna piss me off!"

Always though of Phil's parents being a realistic version of Kitty and Red from That 70's Show. His mom babied him and his dad, while maybe not a hard ass (at least not enough of one), was kind of old school. Like he'd tell Phil "keep your grades up, go to college, and you're future is set" sort of thing. Phil probably misinterpreted that to mean "get through college and make easy money the rest of your life" only to find out he'd have to start at the bottom and work his way up.

From the little we know he does seem to be more like his mom, but every now and then you get a glimpse of what he thinks a man should be which you could assume was inspired by his dad.

Philip "Darksydephil" Burnell is a racist. FULL STOP.
Philip "Darksydephil" Burnell is a grifter. FULL STOP.
Philip "Darksydephil" Burnell feigns financial distress and uses emotional manipulation, of both his supporters and his detractors, to extract money from children and naive adults.

I hope these codes were purchased with a stolen credit card so phil gets his psn banned

I guess it depends at what point you assume dark became a lost cause. I kinda always gave him the benefit of the doubt and assumed he was a somewhat normal kid growing up, he was valedictorian of a basketball American school and he didn’t go to college for anything extensive.

There’s a decent chance at one point in his younger life he was just a normal person doing well in school, I always assumed he was coddled by his mom and just taught to try and do well in school, and later in life when he started having success in street fighter is when he turned into this narcissistic ego monster, and obviously whatever brain he may have had when he was younger has all but rotted and deteriorated from his years on that couch.

It’s hard to get a hold on anything from his younger years because there’s always this narcissistic lens over the stories, and DSP is the definition of an untrustworthy narrator lmao.

Either way if papa Burnell wanted DSP to succeed and tried to get him on the right path he really dropped the ball because apparently he never bothered to teach his kid the value of a dollar

Sadly the guy is a long time fan, so I doubt he's a troll.
I'm currently looking into what I can find, but he uses a few aliases which makes it slightly annoying.

Edit:
What a cuck.

Jesus fucking Christ no wonder this utter faggot has no display pictures on Facebook or MySpace, he has to be some utter retard.
Near enough every single comment he has, even from 2017 in Phil's chat starts by him saying either "Phil" or as of late "@darksydephil".
