Not optimistic about the case.

No opinion on Ty.

I have a personal problem with Nick's streams. Nick has a growing number of autistic sycophants throwing money at him for attention, and he's being way too nice to these cringelords. Someone will superchat 20 fucking dollars to say they're suicidal, and they usually get special attention from Nick, where he seems very empathetic. I sincerely doubt the sincerity of these tearful superchats, and they are also completely discordant to the flow of the stream. I'm becoming reminded of those cringe compilations from those ADGQ events.

"Bing Bing wahoo"
"Hey guys, dad just died of cancer"
*Audience cheers*

I don't watch most streams, so someone else could say how common that is, but I've seen this happen a few times. Generally, Nick's superchats read like lonely young men looking for attention from a father figure:

I can see some potential cows in those superchats.

I'm curious what the state of the board is right now. Are people optimistic about the appeals? Unhappy about Ty? Mad at Nick? What's the siduation
Not super optimistic about the appeals. Unhappy about Ty, yes. I don't think he's a complete idiot, like lawtwitter says. I do think he's most likely not the best lawyer for this. He's not a defamation lawyer and lawtwitter was at last right about pointing out that he added defamation and tortious interference to his website as fields of expertise after he took Vic's case (and look what happened to the case). Would be more optimistic about appeals if Vic hired a lawyer specialising in defamation law. Not mad at Nick, I do genuinely wonder sometimes if he only recommended Ty to Vic because he knows him and knew he'd get great material for his show out of the case. But there's no evidence for that. Nick does seem to care about Vic, so maybe he gave some well meaning bad advice.

I like that he picked Ty because Ty got personally invested in the case. That means he'll likely go above and beyond what other lawyers will, and is less likely to just drop the case if the money dries up. I also want to see how the new lawyer they brought on right before the hearing will do. They seem okay with bringing in a specialist since they brought him in, so an appeals lawyer wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility. I can see Ty relaxing once they get past the stage that Chupp can just say "BEGONE", but at this point they should probably do their best just to ensure nothing stupid happens.

"NaiaVox" is a brand new reddit account. Two posts at the time of archiving.

With nothing else to go on, basic google of that username searches turn up nothing of interest.

I'm betting this is gayops, or double gayops.

Account deleted. I'll take failed gay ops for 400, Alex.
Edit: Could it be that the manjawrian tried to test the waters for a new "he abused me" saga?

Or people could wait to see An Lee do his stuff, because he has actually practiced in front of the Tarrant County Appeals Court...

Rest In Piss, Cancel Culture sped.

Knew it! :story:

Edit: And to be fucking frank, this kind of bullshit is doing more harm to real crime/rape victiums as one might imagine.
Ya know, real victims of sexual assault, not those "he raped me in my dreams" bullshit or the "Vic is a sex pest" crap or all that other #metoo bullshit.
At this point I'm sure it is an established fact that neither KickVic nor #metoo really give a fuck about real survivors of real sexual assault/rape.
All these worthless pieces of shit want is attention whoring, media coverage and the numerous asspats handed out by the usual "social" media site like Reddit, Twatter and so on.
Jussie Smollet, MoRonica, KickVic, Lawltwatter, #metoo, these people make me sick!

Even if it were some sort of gayOps, it highlights how gullible and susceptible people are to cancel culture.

They will literally believe fucking anything that gives them another victim to attack. They're vicious ghouls just howling for blood, and don't care whose it is.

Well at least this sped was man/woman/it/human enough to admit to the lie before it got outta control. Unlike another group of "people" out there.

It must be true it was on the internet, this phrase is so fucking true it isn't even funny anymore. It's almot like people switch off their brains every fucking time the'll open their browser.

This "confession" was made by NaiaVox2, which is not the same account that made the accusation.

I would also like to mention that the account that anonymously refuted this allegation was created in response to this Reddit post.

So they might not even be the same person? Jesus Christ how horrifying. These people have no semblance of a conscious because they squished that cricket the moment he showed up and said something they didn't like. "Morality? What's that?" no one sane asks, ever.

They are the living definition of "The End justify the Means"

The gayOps might be a viable strategy to muddy the waters though (not that I'd endorse it). The more false sexual misconduct gayOps that take place, the more confusion and doubt it causes. It sort of has the potential to accelerate the movement into reaching it's climax by artificially simulating it's peak to the NPCs.

I think that's why so many people are invested in the Vic story (besides his character), he was a potential figure for people opposing cancel culture. Vic winning could have the potential to swing the pendulum in the opposite direction by peaking cancel culture.

During Nick's stream last night, he mentioned he is making a short video about how to be an "anime mafia don" which will feature screenshots and that we can "noodle over what that means" while giving, what is in my opinion, a sly look.
It's at 10:25. Speculations?
