Given how successful Jumanji: WTTJ ended up being, it looks like Jungle Cruise is mainly "stick Dwayne Johnson back in a rain forest and it'll print money!" - even though if you ask me the best part of that film was Jack Black pretending to actually have the personality of a valley girl. Regardless, if my last trip on the original Jungle Cruise ride was any indication, as long as they play this as campy as possible it might work, simply because Jungle Cruise at this point is more about making fun of how unconvincing the whole ride is (it wasn't that convincing back in the 50s either but now it's more for the rapid-fire bad puns than whatever Walt originally wanted it to be).

Also, apparently there was a child molester incident on the Disney Magic ship back in April. This is only being reported now because lawsuits are getting filed.
I looked up the incident because I had heard nothing about that and burst out laughing at the mugshot.

Christ, he looks like Captain America had a stroke. His appearance alone is a red flag, tbh, looks like in this case people would be right to avoid him because his face is fucked up.

That has to be some kind of developmental defect. I wonder if he's retarded enough to be ruled incompetent?

The DisneyPlus Twitter account is tweeting out everything that'll be available on the service - and it's a hell of a lot.

Now, I hate how the big companies are exploiting streaming and turning it into cable, which we turned to streaming to get away from, but I'm sorry, I can't outright hate it. You go to the effort of acknowledging One Saturday Morning by putting Recess and Teacher's Pet on there, I have to praise that.

Besides, getting to have all the Disney Afternoon shows in one place is a good thing.

The streaming services are going to implode. There's too many of them now, and it's just going to exhaust and irritate the consumer. Nobody wants to pay several different MONTHLY fees.

This is bound to go full circle, and people are just going to go back to pirating on a massive scale again.

One nice thing I'll say about DisneyPlus, though, is that they are offering everything. People who are paying for this service are going to get endless hours of entertainment for a currently more affordable price than Netflix.

Everything would include early tv productions, theatrical shorts and behind-the-scenes documentaries they only released in those limited edition Disney Treasure boxes. I want it all.

It would never be complete without the films I want, and I know they'll never give them those.

We are never getting Song of the South, you know. It’ll never be complete.
Bingo.

Apparently they already have guests back in the sky buckets lol

I can't believe some of the shit coming to Disney+ is real.

Is that JFK conducting Napoleon?

Fun fact, Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars was DeForest Kelley and Thurl Ravenscroft's last film performances.

It was apparently based on a sequel written by the author of the original book, but I can't say it was adapted as well as the first film was.

(The Brave Little Toaster isn't really a Disney film, they just have the rights to it. Hyperion made it.)

Yep, though it was shopped to Disney first but they turned it down so it went indie. Someone else believed in this idea long enough to get that film made.

I see people unable to believe any of the vintage Disney live-action films are real. Kurt Russell in "The Barefoot Executive"? Yes, it's real, even though every plot synopsis of it I've read sounds like they were generated by a bot.

A young Kurt Russell stars as Steven Post – an ambitious mailroom clerk at a second-rate TV network. With his eye on the boardroom, and getting nowhere with the studio's top dog, he makes a career-changing discovery. His girlfriend's lovable pet chimp can pick a hit show every time! His secret for success turns into madcap monkey business when he makes vice president and jealous rivals want in on the act.
