Community Tard Baby General (includes brain dead kids) - Fundies and their genetic Fuckups; Parents of corpses in denial

Some in the group are looking at new laws about organ donation. I’m don’t know if they want it to be illegal or not. Some seem to just want organs from children to be illegal.

That would stop the moment they realised their child needed a child-sized organ to save their life. The doubtless it would be about a law compelling parents to give up their kids' organs should another pReCiOUs child be in need.

Not the greatest thinkers, this bunch. Seem to have very little ability to think, or rather knee-jerk beyond the moment and burp out tHeRE sHoUlD bE a lAw!.

This discussion actually puts me in mind of that novel by Jodi Picault - My Sister's Keeper about a girl who seeks to emancipate herself from her overbearing mother who essentially conceived her as an organ, blood and tissue donor for her older sister who has some form of cancer. The mother gives the girl no choice other than to be a tissue bank for the other one, eventually demanding she give up a kidney despite this putting her own health at risk, leading in the end to the children conspiring to get the younger girl emancipated so their mother cannot treat her like a bag of spare parts to savethe favoured older child anymore. I'm not sure, but I think it was based on an an actual case or two where kids where conceived solely for this purpose. So utterly fucked up.

I'm not sure I understand. Aren't the parents the ones who get to decide whether the child's organs will be donated? Or are they afraid of child organs being harvested against the will of the parents?

That last point is what confuses me so much about these US cases. I’m guessing that even with assistance/insurance that the sheer amount of intense care required would rack up hefty costs. In cases like this, are they advised at all about costs? I assume if they did, there’d probably be fewer crazy insistent parents, but still.

I’m sure they’d be so proud of themselves if they somehow got their organ ban approved, then one of the kids they pray for can only be saved by a donor organ from a similar aged kid.
I think Bobby’s family receives a lot of government welfare, so I don’t think they expected to ever receive a bill.

I’ve heard some very crazy numbers, like, only 25% of medical bills outside of what insurance covers is ever paid. Now, that could have just been the numbers for one area medical group. This basically drives up the cost for everyone.

I just looked over at the Save Bobby group, and the mother made a brief post that she’s going to be staying away for a bit, because there are too many “abusive” posts in the group, and Facebook isn’t letting her change the group status again until some time has past.

She considers comments that say anything that can be seen as positive about the hospital as abusive. Anything that is not prayers or support is abusive.

It kind of amusing because the group members are getting so enraged by laugh reactions on certain posts.

The witch hunt is getting so bad that they are removing actual supporters. A few individuals that were removed actually just clicked the wrong reaction emoji on their phone.

Lastly, I want to say I love the thread name update.

Many of these people are not smart. Like these people are arguing that a brain with no blood flow for three weeks can still recover.

The current law is that the parents do decide, and that a completely separate group from the hospital does the harvesting and the transplanting. The hospital has no benefit at all if the family decides to donate. If the family say no, then it’s over.

The people who follow this anti-brain death conspiracy believe that the brain death diagnosis was solely created to harvest organs. They think that by making organ donation illegal that hospitals will then take care of kids like Bobby.

I saw that a few minutes ago. NGL, I jumped a little. But if you watch the vid, the kid is completely normal and even has normal speech, is bilingual, etc.

Fucking sucks that he's trapped inside a hellish visage

JFC. I thought you were having us on and that was some bad Hallowe'en make-up. Oh god, that poor kid. He's so bright and articulate too. What level of fuckery is that though ... what kind of burns were they .... I've never seen such an outcome, anything so bad. I've seen people transformed from acid attacks back to some level of semi-normalcy through skin grafts and endless plastic surgeries. He looks like he literally melted from the inside out, poor guy. The mouth and teeth, what the hell.

It says his bed went on fire? How does a child's bed get set on fire? What the fuck. The utter horror of it all.

All he really said was that a candle fell and the whole bed and him went up quick

Damn, that's heartbreaking. Especially when you hear him talk and realize that there's actually an articulate, intelligent, sweet kid inside that ruined sack of flesh. It's bad enough being born deformed, but to be born normal and have your body destroyed by an unfortunate accident seems like such a devastatingly unfair and cruel fate.
I was surprised to hear that he got burned when he was only two, because I would have thought that someone as badly disfigured as this kid must have been injured recently and his body needed to heal for a year or two before the doctors can perform any plastic surgery.
Don't get me wrong, I would never expect someone so severely burned to ever look close to normal, but I cant believe that in all the years since his accident, the poor kid's apparence couldnt have been made a bit better than it is now. I mean couldnt the doctors at least have improved that gaping, raw, open-wound where his nose used to be?

He said he got burned when a candle fell and the flames spread to his blanket. Who in the hell leaves a candle burning near a toddler's bed?!
Anyway, he seems like a good kid and I feel a lot of sympathy for him. I hope he's able to maintain his positive attitude and can find happiness and fulfilment in life, despite his appearance.

Onto another subject, I'm sure a lot of people have been wondering what has become of Jaxon Buell in the years since his parents split up and went radio silent. His mother met a new fellow and they had a baby in August. The picture below was posted on October 5th. I dont know the baby's name, but since the shirt says "little sister", I would assume it's a girl. I also don't know if she has any medical conditions or not, but from this and the other photos that have been posted, she obviously doesn't have Jaxon's condition and appears to be normal and healthy.
As you can see from the picture, Jaxon, despite rumors of his demise, is still alive- or least as alive as a person with almost no cerebral cortex can be. Gotta love the way the hair has grown; it's heartwarming how his mother accepts him the way he is and isn't attempting to make him appear to have a normal sized head by styling that massive pile of hair on top of his flat little skull.

I’m amazed to see that Jaxon is still with us and still with his family. I had kind of assumed he’d either died or been placed in an institution by now; his parents had seemed to only care about him as a money-making venture.

His dad spilt a few years ago and barely visits. Mom found a new dude last year and got knocked up with a baby that came with a brain.

His parent(s) sound retarded, if that's the case. Even if you have no electricity, you don't put naked flames near bedding or soft furnishings, especially not near the bedding of children or the elderly. Near a two year-old? Known for flailing and being active? Putting a candle anywhere near them or within their reach is astoundingly retarded. I wasn't too impressed by his mother not speaking English either while he, the kid who cannot even go to school and has enough to contend with in life, is translating for her. I am assuming they are in the USA given the coverage?

I can't access the video, but if the interview was done outside of hospital or other official settings, they might not have an interpreter present just because in the US interpreters have to be assigned by the provider (hospitals, government agencies, schools, etc.) and there are strict rules governing how long you stay and so on. Some providers are better than the others in assessing the needs of non-English speaking people. some try to avoid extra work and then rely on Google Translate...
Anyway, relying on a kid to interpret is usually bad not only from ethical standpoint, but also because interpreting is a huge load for the brain and you have to be knowledgeable in every facet of life, at least a little. Even untrained adult, let alone a child, rarely knows terminology needed and possesses crucial skills that help interpreters maintain up to 90 % of everything said (you can't maintain 100%, it's just not feasible in oral mode).

I have to be honest. I actually have to turn off my phone screen for a second to collect myself. Its not his fault at all but, he is horrifying looking... more horrifying than Sofia. I felt a lot of sympathy for the poor kid and he speaks so well and has a very positive attitude.

But, I am also puzzled on how on earth his parents thought it was wise to keep a candle near a toddler. Its like basic fire safety 101 to keep that shit away from children and flammables. Anyway, Malibu Ken did a fundraiser for the kid operation and it quickly exceeded the original goal in one night.
