All those giant crystals are gypsum.
Both locations are neat in that they had the perfect conditions of heat and an influx of mineral rich water to continuously allow for crystal growth.
Geode of Pulpí is relatively cooled off now, so no worries for tourists.
But note that in the Naica Mine how everyone is wearing hazard suits and respirators?
