How apt. Bailey's is the perfect sickly sweet leg opener for young teens.

Take your mom to work day isn't for a couple months.Anyone else surprised that Miriam wasn't lurking somewhere?
Au contraire. Magnotta's entire schtick was desperately trying to get attention, first from the media, and then from internet people who were outraged by his animal torture/murder videos. No fucking way. Magnotta was a really low profile guy who posted some simple shit about fashion. He was not an attention whore like Yaniv.
Yaniv can barely handle a cane properly, you expect him to know how to use a cleaver or a gun?
How do we know the person visiting him wasn't a prostitute?

Here is a leaf documentary on the whole debacle, and while its pretty sensationalist and below average in the genre of "sickfuck killer documentaries" it does get the facts down well, and explains why I am personally more than a little worried as to how Yaniv is going to pan out
Disagree. This person lives in our community and we have a right to ensure that people and business's are aware of what they are hiring. He is a predator and always will be.
Jon claims to have had security footage pulled before. I'm betting that a liquor store has no shortage of cameras and it would be fairly easy to identify the person filming a true and honest trans woman at work.I'm with Sookie.
Assuming that the person complied with Canadian law in recording this, I don't see how the recording is more offensive than the pictures, tweets, @WGkitty or @Sookie's accounts about him, or frankly the sleuthing that led to JY's former employer being discovered and then feeling compelled to come here and clear the air.
This person did not try to enlist a personal army here, he just shared a phone convo, which if legally recorded, is up to him to share.
Not really. They're run by the provinces, not the feds.
Check out the answer that I reported later in this thread, but I believe it's EMBR events as a Brand Ambassador. While this was a good spot, and great to have a wild Yaniv sighting, It dosen't benefit anyone to get too close to the subject, 'touching the sh!t' in Farms parlance. Why? because shit sticks to you.
The other reasons are already articulated, so I won't beat it to death. Nice spot my man, and interesting to me as well. Almost in my neighborhood! I was actually in Whalley yesterday, if only I had hit the liquor store.
I have some contacts in the food demo/marketing subcontracting businesses in Greater Vancouver, since he was serving Bailey's I might be able to find who has that contract currently and thus his employer. If I do, I will release this information out of the general interest to the community, -NOT- for people to sperg at his employer to get him fired.
If he's not involved with kids in his work, I'm not overly concerned. He'll almost certainly fuck it up himself which is FAR more fun to watch, and dosen't give him ammo to hang himself on a cross with.
*edit* In hindsight, it's best I wasn't in the liquor store same time as him. There's no WAY I'd be able to resist singing the 'Meow Mix' jingle under my breath as I walked by him.![]()
Thanks @WGkitty!
Thanks @WGkitty!
As I previously posted here, my understanding is that Yaniv works for an events company that helps brands out from big brew to small craft. I confirmed from my source at BCLC that he had been working in liquor stores sampling throughout Metro Vancouver; however, it was explained to me that the sampling is sponsored by an events company. Therefore, he doesn't work for the government, which makes total sense, especially given his reputation and highly probably disability payments. Still unsure if he collects, but so many people reported him, so he might be forced back to work.
This means that he can work in both Crown-operated or Privately-operated Beer and Liquor stores. I was told that he had been sampling Labatts brands a few weeks back when spotted Downtown Vancouver. He mentioned on twitter that his "liquor license" (aka his serving it right) allows him to serve anyone he wants.
Anyways, I was directed to look on Indeed for these jobs. Given the oligopoly on this type of work, I am suspecting on a high ad-hoc probability that he's working as a "Brand Ambassador - Liquor/Beer Sampling". This is contract/temporary work for assignments, which the average wage is $18-20 per hour. I suspect that EMBR EVENTS, is the company.
Not quite. I don't think Yaniv is a killer, but there is definate and impossible to fake evidence of sexually harassing teenage girls. (The messages can ~technically~ be faked, but we have proof that the creepy Elmo voice being sent to children belonged to Yaniv).Oh give me a break. I'm pretty sure Magnotta killed kittens to get attention, not prance around in moomoos and makeup.
He was quiet, but charismatic.
Jon is loud, obnoxious, and has about as much cariama as a tub of margarine.
Nobody has any evidence that Jon actually molested anyone or killed anything.
He may be an idiot, damaged, and a grifter, but he's not even in the same league as Magnotta.
It's 18-20 an hour but also for 4 hour shifts that you have to drive all over town for. I imagine there are only really 3 days a week they work so if this is his only source of income he's probably still having financial problems. I am glad the lazy turd finally got a job instead of mooching off the system and suing people that actually work. He's going to fuck it up in glorious fashion though. Some of the ways I've seen people interact with Yaniv makes me shake my head. Wouldn't it be better to keep him largely in the dark and not give him ammunition to "prove" that people are "harassing/stalking" him? Keeping any communications about what you "could do" to yourself seems like a much better choice, especially when dealing with vexatious litigants like the Yanivs.
And thanks for the job info, clone. For a second I thought "holy shit that's a lot of money" until I remembered it's CAD and the area's cost of living.

Yaniv has a history of beating people, brandishing Tasers and threatening to slit people's throats. Keep in mind the latter happened when he said himself he was "sooooo drunk." It is inappropriate for him to be "brand ambassador" of anything interacting with the public directly and completely fair for customers to voice their displeasure to management over this.
I don't understand the company that hired him, they must be desperate. He's so inarticulate, smells bad and has a bad personality. Imagine being a hiring manager seeing him and thinking that yes JY is the guy you want representing your brand.Yaniv has a history of beating people, brandishing Tasers and threatening to slit people's throats. He's an alleged pedophile and predator, but he is a proven racist. I would think that would be enough for most employers to legally fire someone with no fear of backlash. In Canada most people can also be let go without cause before 3 months. I'm not aware of any incident where a proven racist hasn't been fired from their job. The Whalley area where Yaniv is working has a high population of SikhsI guess the real interesting question is why Jon is at work. I have to assume it's some sort of scam. Perhaps the need to apply and accept jobs or lose benefits? If so the real irony would be that getting fired without being able to show good cause (some people called and said he's a creep is probably not good cause) might actually help him in his plan. Anyone else surprised that Miriam wasn't lurking somewhere?
Plenty of "ABC stores" in Freedomland states as well.

Maybe they know exactly who he is and were terrified of being litigated against for not hiring him?I don't understand the company that hired him, they must be desperate. Yeah I know it's been said but the fact that he's actually working and in a place that explicitly forbids people under 19 to enter is probably as close to an ideal situation we're going to get with someone like this. I'm sure it's not going to last long, especially since it's a position where you've got to interact with the public while being inviting and warm to make sales. But it's much better than leeching off of others and making their lives miserable.
Edit to avoid double post:
As I said earlier, I don't blame people for wanting to act out of concern for their community. I think it's a reasonable response. But this is very explicitly not the place to talk about plans to contact any of the cows irl.
Take those kinds of plans to a local group -- not only is it just more acceptable there but you also can find advice/support on how to handle having a person like this in your local community.
