Negativity - a concept ALR happily uses as & when she deems it appropriate. She milks her overwhelmingly negative comment section for sympathy points, uses it to fuel "righteous snippiness & arrogance" but overall, doesn't have a freaking clue why she's viewed in such a poor light by... almost anybody watching her videos. She most commonly claims it's because of her weight & when she gets tired of mouthing those words, assumes, (as with any like minded pre-teen), that the wide variety of viewers have all squeezed aboard the peer driven Hate Train. Let's not get a few glaringly obvious facts get in the way of the narrative she's having a harder time selling to anybody. According to an intro to 'Half Ton Mom' back in 2008, over 1 million people in the US weighed over 500 lbs:

11 years later that must be higher although I'm not sure by how much - anyone that weight has a shorter lifespan. That's only the heaviest of the heavy - average weight has been increasing steadily for years now & according to the CDC, as of 2015-16, 39.8% of adults in the US were obese:

In the relatively short history of humanity, we've worked pretty successfully as smallish 'tribes' - groups that may literally have been tribes or shared some essential commonalities. Until recently, life was brutally hard & short for most of us & people who were different; who didn't fit fairly neatly into their tribal norms were looked at askance at best or actively persecuted at worst. Bullying to a large degree IS in our DNA. People with differences perceived as seriously weakening the overall group did not fare well. Such an individual lucky enough to have a visible talent or more than benefitted the group was often forgiven those differences but that's not always been the case.
In times, (most of our history), when food was hard to find, process, preserve & distribute as per tribal norms, the overweight were rightly viewed suspiciously. It would have been reasonable to think they were scoffing more than their allotted share, thus depriving others & when those others were deemed more worthy - not good. A little extra weight often indicated status - tribal leaders or highly regarded warriors, hunters, those with rare skills & certainly went a long way to assuring more successful breeding but someone who was soft & squidgy without offsetting positive attributes would not have been well regarded.
People today come in all shapes & sizes & outward appearance does not identify superior intelligence, excellent judgement, superb people skills or any human trait that's highly valued. And most of us don't immediately look down at someone because of their size or outward appearance. Loathing, disdain, disgust; usually take a bit of time to develop. With ALR, it doesn't take more than a few of her videos or other social media for people write her off as a complete waste of rations. Her status as a Death Fat is only a smallish part of the equation. What she's far from understanding is that the complete package she presents is thoroughly revolting. She's an almost 28 year old woman with the mid set of a middle schooler, the interests of a giddy teen & the feral, conniving qualities of a whining hyena. If she's ever worked an honest day in her life, those days have been few & far between. She convinced her partner to also become a leech. She lucked in with all her housemates - weak people who can be easily manipulated. Rickie hates any form of conflict or raised voices, Eric is a frantic muppet - a wriggling, annoying puppy with few basic manners & zero judgement. Becky may be a good actress but lacks the necessary smarts to really use that to any significant benefit. We see AL easily pulling the strings with all 3, to no one's benefit but her own. And in doing so, she adds nothing remotely positive or even neutral to her immediate surroundings, never mind the greater community around her. And all of that, the individual facets or the complete mosaic, are why she's universally seen as an enfant terrible. She can try to portray herself as Positive Polly all she wants - nobody's buying.
