The walking in the forest strips were some of my favorite C&H strips.
I always thought this one was supposed to be the infamous "Noodle Incident."

I always thought the Noodle Incident had to do with the time Calvin had a report on the brain so he put a bunch of noodles in a bag to represent the brain. It doesn't say what happened afterwards. The walking in the forest strips were some of my favorite C&H strips.

This is from a while ago, so my memory might be a bit rusty, but IIRC Watterson mentioned that the Noodle Incident was something that happened off-panel and would never reveal what actually occurred. He liked that it was something that the reader would never really know about and would always be guessing at what happened.I always thought the Noodle Incident had to do with the time Calvin had a report on the brain so he put a bunch of noodles in a bag to represent the brain.
