Nuki and Tokido are world-renowned top players and household names in the fighting game community, and AfroCole is a famous top player in Street Fighter 2 specifically. The port may have been bad, a lot of people may have skipped it, but let's not pretend DSP was playing against nobodies. He wasn't (though I have no idea if he actually won against anyone particularly notable.)

-EDIT- He also set the world record for fastest clock-out today because he was salty as fuck because he couldn't beat a 150cc race, even with some hardcore save-scumming:
















That was literally 27 seconds from closing the game to ending the stream. And he didn't even thank his viewers for their contributions.

His mental gymnastic over it is along the lines of regardless of it being a good version of the game or not that was the version evo used and all these rereleases that bumble up his game somehow are just random rereleases.

He has mocked people that have practiced and gotten used to these apparent bad versions of the game, but says he practiced and prepared for the shitty port because evo allowed it, and has mocked the people that wanted to boycott the version because they didn’t want to put in the time on that version

You seriously can’t win with this guy, he does everything correct

Why is he using Yoshi in Super Mario Kart? Everyone knows he and Princess are the worst characters in the original. They are pretty non-viable on 150cc.

Also has nobody told him about the rewind feature? If you're gonna save scum do it all the way.

I imagine one of his sycophants told him that Yoshi's "quality" is that he's very fast off the line and quick to accelerate to top speed. I'm sure in Phil's mind that equates to "fastest" and I'm sure he's pissed that such a brilliant play tactic hasn't brought him more easy wins.

He's still not doing any powersliding either, which either maintains your speed or gives you a boost going around corners. Naturally, you pretty much have to do it at higher difficulties to have a shot against the CPU.

Has there been any complaints about rubberbanding? I seem to remember that game being a pretty big offender of that and, well, with as much as he calls it out in other games where it doesn't happen nearly so much...

I'm sure there have been, but I haven't watched much. He fucks up enough that he's falling behind without much help from the rubberbanding.

Yes. He says that 'when the other characters aren't on your "actual screen" the game artificially boosts their speed so they drive faster'. Phil then claims as "proof" of this during his rant him driving through the grass massively slowing himself down leading into a slow and sub-optimal turn and then Koopa Trooper passing him. He then claims Koopa Trooper "100% cheated" because in the last lap, after Phil driving through a bit of grass again, Koopa Trooper beat him around the final corner to take 1st place. . .Koopa Trooper, the character with the best handling stat in the game. . .
He fucking sucks at Mario Kart. The first race in this video he runs over his own banana peel and then he mushroom boosts off the track into a carnivorous plant. . .
Edit: Also Phil, who claimed to be a "Mario Kart Master", says "you NEVER want to power slide in this game. If you do you lose control!" So there you go.
Edit2: This may actually be a rage-quit tbh, we'll see if he ever plays Mario Kart again. . .
It's a super easy track to beat, you just select the feather and then you can skip 1/3rd of a lap but I'm guessing since he doesn't even know the timing to get the boost at the start of the race he doesn't know the timing to select the item you want.

Haven't seen him play that game specifically but having seen him play driving games in general, I would argue that being able to accelerate quickly after having hit something dead on "after it appeared from thin air right in his path, and the hitbox bugged dood, what bullsh#t is that ?" is one of the best abilities a character can have for Phil.

On YouTube or Twitch?

I know that you get in trouble for saying that on YouTube as it is against AdSense's policy, but I don't see why it wouldn't be the same on Twitch... either way, if he reffered to the ads on Twitch, I doubt he will get in any trouble just like with the other crap he did in the past that other streamers got banned for, because of that "guy over at Twitch he has".

Also, I just remembered that Khat took a week off (or two? Phil really is stumbling over his own words even regarding the most trivial stuff), so I doubt she'll be in this Halloween's stream. Phil will just say she's busy working.
