All in all, great stream last night. I don't even remember any ridiculously pathetic superchats.

While it's fresh on everyone's minds, what do y'all think of Kern's new game?

No Man's Sky 2 honestly. His ideas are too big for a small studio and too specific to be executed how he's advertising it. The big battles against the giant monsters destroying the world sounds cute but, it feels like it just end up being a chore like if the invasions in WoW had penalties for losing and were a major selling point of the game.

It did come across a little broad. I'd rather a small studio put out a very tight, focused, and small-scale game, then something broad with a lot of features but not a lot of depth.

For example that goose game. It's only two to three hours long, and the only mechanics are picking up objects and honking, and the rest of the game is dedicated to the humor. But it's one of the best games of the year so far because what it gives the player is a really refined experience where the only criticism people have is "I really wish there's more to come;" and not "I wish it was more interesting."

I'm very hopeful. But I will not buy it on pre order or day 1. Might throw $5 at the kickstarter but that is it

It did feel like a very broad game, but I'm hoping he's playing it smart and some of the features are experimental with a willingness to cut scope for a tighter experience. he's an experienced MMO designer, so i do have some :optimistic: thoughts

Summary video in case you lived under a rock and somehow just checked this thread. No real new information.

There was uncertainty regarding whether Vic would appeal or not. Looks like he will. Hopefully, we'll see the paperwork soon.

I'm about half way through the big brain panel and this is all I see.

I can't imagine watching, much less being in, a 7 hour stream.

It took me way longer than I'm willing to admit. I found his house and proof of it. If some no name troll like me can find it lemone should have no problem right. I have no intention of releasing the info to him. I did this as a challenge to find Nick's house.

Nick hid his info pretty well. I'm not going to lie a few things made me chuckle and Nick probably knows what I'm talking about. I also learned that the "vault" is actually a some what vault. It would take all of 15 minutes with power tools, but still it's 15 minutes. I have to also say he has a really nice house with an amazing view.

vault was sparsely decorated in the picture.

here you can see the glass doors and walls for the library. It is also a second door on the "basement" floor. So nick can REEE to his hearts content if both doors are closed and kids are asleep upstairs.
