I very much agree with random anime girls sentiments, people are still far too invested even when they've been told multiple times not to. You're here to enjoy the salt and laugh at people wigging out no matter the side, personal investment into something that you can't do anything about nor does it directly impact you is a waste of emotional labor .

I said that in my opinion it would be a good idea to file it by that date. I might be wrong. There's somewhat ambiguous authority that the grant of a TCPA as to all claims regarding all parties is a directly appealable order, but other authority that a pending resolution of fees and/or sanctions renders it interlocutory.

It's sad. Same can be said for Harmony Gold, last time I checked there was no Macross stuff that looked like an Atlas, Shadowhawk or the Locust. Granted would have been hilarious if ,granted HG was not settlement happy, that HG win a court case against those models and then turn around and use that to sue other companies like the people that distro Gundam Wing or even Disney and their new AT-AT's.

HG didn't sue over the Atlas, Shadowhawk, and Locust, they sued over a large number of the mechs that are 'unseen', which they did hold the licensing too

This would be the original Marauder, Rifleman, Archer, Longbow, and Warhammer, which are all Destroids from Battletech.
Not to mention the Wasp, Stinger, Phoenix Hawk & Crusader, which are Iconic Macross Valkyries.

HG did not sue over the Dougram mechs, those had a separate rights holder that settled w/ them outside of court, those mechs are Shadow Hawk, Scorpion, Wolverine, Thunderbolt, Goliath, & Battlemaster

The Locust was from Crusher Joe, another rightsholder entirely, who also settled outside of court.

To my knowledge, the Atlas is a Battletech original design, and nobody sued over it.

Harmony Gold has fucked with a lot of shit, but like it or not they definitely have the Macross License in the United States and Battletech using their license w/o permission was a for sure nono.

Yes, I learned about this too just now. I even posted a thread to try to promote the GFM and help Wendy. But then I deleted that thread a few minutes later because 1.) The goal was already almost reached anyway, and 2.) I thought of something.

If you remember, Leah Clark and a few KickVic people were throwing a fit because a fan donated $1,000 to Vic’s Go Fund Me. Yet here she is starting a GFM page shortly afterwards to help a voice actor out.

I have nothing against Wendy Powell, since she’s one of the very few Funimation VA’s who I genuinely like, and I do hope that she recovers from this. But I find it hilarious that the same people who accuse Vic of using the GFM to steal from fans are now utilizing the same payment methods for their own goals. Just like how they attacked Vic’s practice of making money off autographed artwork, only to adapt it later.

It’s amazing that twice this so-called pedophile proved useful in how these people could make some money.

May want to check your info because it was in the filings of the 2017ish lawsuit. They tried to say an Atlas was an Armored Valk and the Redisigned locust was something Macross (wanna say the Marauder design) related and the Shadowhawk was something, that was in addition to the Unseen stuff. Granted this was more likely a move to get the new (at the time) Btech game involved in the lawsuit.
