Holy shit, Scott Cawthon just trolled his entire fanbase. Basically, today he announced that FNAF3 was cancelled because somebody hacked his computer and uploaded the game for free.
Well, when people played the game, it was There Is No Pause Button, another Cawthon game, with Freddy's face pasted over the main character's with trololo playing for music.
Five Nights at Freddy's 3 had it's first round of beta-testing the other night. I have two faithful beta-testers who always help me out (mmost of yyou probably know who they are). The game still nneeds aa lot of work of course; it's still very bare bones at the mmomeent, but the game succeeded iin making my testerss jump out of their sseats. One of the features I didn't warn them about were the **************, which they found very effective.PPlus "he" was much more aggrressiive than I'd annticipated and prevented my testers from ggetting past nightt 2. All in all, however, everrything went very well aand I'm on track to release the game as pplanned.

That would give a theory that the animatronic in the game might of been a discarded character or something.http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/updates/381852545/1424011270
For ease, this is what you need to see:

"my name is Springtrap"
Dang, checked a sperg thread about Freddy's to see if there was any lulz to be had, unfortunately the idiots were too busy talking about animatronics like real characters with personalities and shit to apparently notice.
As much as I love the series, the fandom is too full of children/furries. Going to Youtube comments on videos of playthroughs or fan stuff will always get you people trying to roleplay animatronics like they're cartoon characters instead of killer robots.
I fell for the troll thing yesterday. I love ya, Scott. Still waiting on a release date. My expectations might be low but I am still wildly curious.
I spoke too soon, apparently. For whatever reason the linking is broken on that forum now (not really surprised, place was going to shit) but one idiot actually thought it was a whole new game and not just one of Scott's old onesAs much as I love the series, the fandom is too full of children/furries. My gosh Scott's fake game is even MORE enfuriating then the actual FNaF games!
Oh my god I can not agree more. The fact this thread is pretty much just theory discussion about the game's plot and not that RP bullshit that ruins the whole thing (yes, let's make THE ROBOTS TRYING TO FUCKING KILL YOU into lovable characters who are just misunderstood and aren't actually going to gut you and shove your carcass into a fursuit from 30+ years ago) was a huge relief since I didn't feel discussing FNAF anywhere else would be taken seriously over "Chica the Pizza Goddess" or whatever the fuck is going on with that crowd right now. Sure, there's parody, but that...I don't even know what to say is wrong with the FNaF masses. The only part of the "fandom" I like is just the people who discuss the theories/story of the game. The other stuff I just kind of ignore, though I have noticed it getting more and more popular recently.
I dunno, I kinda like the idea of Fazbear crew having some Saturday morning show or something at the height of their popularity or something.![]()
I think a Freddy Fazbear cartoon would be pretty cool! But I think it'd be like Don't Hug Me I'm Scared, where it starts off as sweet and childish, and then near the end it becomes completely twisted and downright disturbingI dunno, I kinda like the idea of Fazbear crew having some Saturday morning show or something at the height of their popularity or something.![]()

Well maybe not misunderstood entirely but the bots in 1 might have a "tragic villain" thing going for them, with the whole "haunting" thing.
Then again, I can't help but wonder, even though the messages imply the murders were ongoing that maybe it was still after at least one of the killings (not like the police would instantly find every body and connect all the dots...) perhaps if they were padded out to a few days between or something? Either that or Fazbear inc has the horrible luck of employing only dangerous criminals. Just trying to figure out what makes em hostile at the start of 2 and all.
Not so sure about Phone Guy himself being the killer though, for how obvious his lies were ("most people don't make it this far. I mean, uh, they move onto other things I'm not saying the died or anything...") he really did sound genuinely distraught when talking about the Golden Freddy suit.
Now that I think about it... I don't think that Springtrap could be Phone Guy. Think about it. Phone Guy was implied to have been stuffed into a suit, and haunting, yadda yadda. But P.G's death was the only one that was in-game. It's implied (or outright stated) that many security guards have fallen victim to the bots. Why would P.G be the only one?
They're prerecorded in the sense the P.G. leaves them just after his shift ends and Mike's shift begins.Well, he still is a potential suspect by virtue of being the only speaking character in the game, BB's little yelps of "Hi!" and the giggle notwithstanding.
Was it in-game? P.G. does mention these are "pre-recorded" messages, at least in the first game when he dies. He could have been dead before Mike ever first stepped foot into Fazbear Pizza.
