I keep being struck by the parallels between this thought mode and common old domestic abusers. ‘If you leave me/don’t comply I’ll kill myself’ is wifebeater101. The aggression is the same. The need for complete dominance is the same. The need to dominate what language can be used is the same. The gaslighting is the same. The list of demands that’s so extreme it’s not possible is the same. The insistence that the victim is to blame for the aggressor’s actions is the same.

It’s basically a bloke yelling ‘look what you made me do!’ while beating the wife Isnt it? Except he’s wearing a frock and a bad wig while doing it.

Rhys is a big lad. It’s be interesting to meet him in person and see what kind of vibe he gives off. I bet it’s ‘run far, run fast.’

...unless there's a larger man who may not be sympathetic in the room. Then it's struggling to maintain eye contact and storming off like a passive aggressive 13 year old middle school gf.

Because he's a chickenshit, in addition to all of his other mesmerizing qualities.

If misgendering is the same as manslaughter to you, then you have never encountered any real opposition or problems in your life. If you’re honestly that fragile, that someone accidentally drawing attention to the reality of your situation drives you to suicide, then you probably weren’t supposed to live anyway.

Also: how come being misgendered makes you kill yourself, but the word “manslaughter” is fine?
They're troons. They deliberately forget the apostrophe because when it comes to everyone else, it's "man's laughter".

But how much obfuscation is there about the male-bodied advantage? We talk about bigger lung capacity and that, but some of what I read comes down to the narrower hips. Maybe someone with better physics knowledge can enlighten me as to how the q-angle allows for better leverage in running and cycling? That 20 years of male puberty is in full effect, I'm just looking for illustrations on why that is.

Just imagine the parents of kids who kill themselves, whether trans or not, being told that just by saying something that upsets their kid and the kid kills himself -- that they basically murdered their own kid

Mermaids strap line is “better a live daughter, than a dead son”

Absolutely no shame in leveraging parental distress to gain another ‘accolade’.
(google the strap line or see https://kiwifarms.net/threads/susie-green-mermaids-uk.30937/page-2)

Munchausen syndrome by proxy - on steroids.

And Mermaids et al have always levied the suicide threat. Just like all good abusers. MRAs have found their acceptable face.

It’s particularly interesting when you look at the number of troons who demonstrate abusive behaviour in other areas. I’m struggling to think of a member of the Rat King who hasn’t shown abusive tendencies.

McKinnon has now made it into the mainstream UK media.

Lots of comments, can't see a single one actually supporting him though.

I imagine the Mail is saving Rhys' rant about being snubbed on the podium, and his hateful comments about others - for example, the grease fire - for follow-up pieces.

I snapped some of them, both the most upvoted and most downboated are included. It's telling how much wrongthink was allowed thru by comment moderators.

The most hated and most boosted comments are all saying pretty much the same thing.

The Daily Mail’s audience is traditionally very conservative and right-wing. These days, the Mail tends to at least pretend to care about these issues, but they know exactly who pays their bills. They’d never say “Look at this fucking shambles,” but they’re not exactly going to hurry to silence those who do.

Awesome, I needed a good visual about why there's a difference between just having an open-leg stance and manspreading. Those female athletes aren't being "ladylike" and they're definitely occupying space unapologetically with their arms and legs. But look at the difference here.

The two women have separated the chairs they're on so that everyone's got room to spread out a bit, even if their elbows and knees are out. You can see that even though they're fairly spread out, they're taking up only a very slight bit more width than the chairs themselves.

And then there's Rhys, king of the manspreaders. His sweaty leg and upper arm is touching the chair next to him, which he doesn't seem to have registered. His knee is spread across several inches of the chair adjacent to him, which would make it difficult for someone else to remove it or adjust it so it'd be possible to sit next to him. Even his feet are in a stance that spreads him out beyond the boundaries of the chair he's sitting in.

The effect, combined with the sunglasses indoors while sitting on a chair, is a man deliberately trying to look like an intimidating asshole so no one will bother him.

TBH, the effect to me is more of an overgrown sped in a helmet trying to look intimidating while on day release from the group home, but I tend to avoid those lads as well to be fair.

The great thing about being a man taller than 6' who is trying to look intimidating is that it doesn't even matter whether you got it right. People will give you a wide berth even if you completely fail at looking like a brooding hunk of burning rage, because you'll end up looking intimidating the other way ("this person looks like they don't follow the rules of a society because they're a loon or exceptional").

Oh, absolutely agree with you on that one. I think in his mind, the actual women in the room in that image are averting their eyes out of respect, or gazing at him in a mixture of fear and awe. He's sitting there thinking to himself what a badass he looks like, and that's why no-one is talking to him. Meanwhile, in actuality, the reason no-one is speaking to or approaching him is that the only thing really going through someone's head looking at this dipshit is "why is that fucking gigantic autist still wearing his glasses?? Nevermind, I don't care enough to ask, he'll just chimp out again"

I thought they were all trans myself.

What? You don't find this beautiful woman attractive?

Nothing feminine about him at all. Other ladies have their hands clasped he's covering that crotch. He must have gone on a massive eating spree after taking his strong arm muscle picture. Not a bit of definition.
