I saw people like that on twitter when IT chapter 2 came out and opened with the gay couple getting attacked leading to said twitter people to never search up why it was in the book at all.

It was weird. I was actually agreeing with a decent amount of the points raised, Greg gets the shaft, the creative team are kind of weirdos, you can write morally complex villains that are still villains, a model sheet would go a long way towards making a more consistent show, the whole Rose Quartz deal was kind of poorly foreshadowed, that kind of stuff. But then we got to the weird shit. I didn’t know anything about Lily at that point, but my alarm bells started ringing.
Especially when it got to the fascism part. My thought was, “OK, now you’re reading way to far into this.” And it just kept going until I realized that Lily may just actually see fascism everywhere.

Well, note how Steven never specifically said that the diamonds were forgiven and also note the way he seems to think of them in the movie. He never forgave them, he just talked them down as a means of getting them to fix the corrupted gems.

Gay characters in anything is a hassle, since writers aren't allowed to have anything bad happen to them, otherwise tumblrinos cry about how their "uwu gay bbys" are being "buried", therefore making the author homophobic.

Why do you hate gays so much? It’s not like people will complain if you write them a certain way, or give them too many flaws, or have them deal with issues that come from them being gay, or kill them for any reason, or have them not be a good person. Why wouldn’t you put gays into your stuff when a straight character can be all of those without any eyebrows being raised?
Think of it this way, if “Lolita” replaced the young girls with young boys and nothing else changed, and was published today, it would not be hailed as an intriguing experiment in the ways we view protagonists told through the eyes of a horrible person, it would be called the most homophobic thing ever written. You cannot have a non-straight person portrayed negatively in your works without people bitching, it’s easier just to write without having to think about it.

Within the context of that show the diamonds haven't redeemed themselves and no one really treats them like they have, either. Anything good they've done so far (restoring the corrupted gems, disbanding their militaries, being nicer) was all done just to please Steven because he's all that's really left of their baby sister who is, for all intents and purposes, dead.

None of their actions have been out of any kind of genuine desire to do good things because it's the right thing to do. I'm not a fucking writing expert, but I feel like that's a pretty important part of a redemption arc. Bad character does the right thing for the right reasons I.E. Zuko betraying his homeland to teach the Avatar firebending because it's for the good of the entire world that his father is defeated.

This particular video dealt with what it says on the title with the explanation to how people get radicalised through online extremist groups. The ending detailed "how do people get out" which ultimately came to the conclusion that the hypothetical normie being presented only gets out of their own volition.

dont know of this means much but;

Ive witnessed many abusive relationships in my life. I eman freinds being in some. A common pattern ive seen in 15 out of 17 relationships where ive seen that there was an abusive and an abused partner, the partner who was abusive seeked revewnge for the other partner leaving them.

Now, amybe lily happens to be the 2/17 here idontknow. BUT whatI'll mention also is, after some time to reflect and heal on themselves, the abused became 'happier than the abusive' think of it as 'the best form of revenge is to be happier than your abuser' type of thing. Maybe not ACTUAL revenge but its better than trying to drag your ex through hell and back and being a petty, whinning toddler about shit even though youre like, 27 years old orsomething.


Another thing i'd like to mention is in 7 of these personal cases i've been witnesses in, i knew both parties. in 6 of these cases, The abusive always tried dragging their ex into deep shit. shit talking them, claiming that THEY were the abused (not the abusoive) and trying to 'out rank them' inways. hell even trying to turn freinds against the abused and in one casesocial media followers (one mate was an artist)


The actual abuse victims were trying to 'forget', or just not shit talking their exs andjust tried to move on with their lives. Out of all those 7 where i knew both sideds, the abused sides never brought it up to me, in any groups i shared with them or even on social media unless the Abusive Ex brought shit up or they jsut wanted to clear up some missconeptions (that typically the ex falsley made)



Is this concrete evidence? Obviously not. But if we take into consideration other Social Media influencers cases,such as Pro Jared and Slazo, the pattern follows suit there. Their abusive exs triued causing drama with Jared and Slazo, tried to get people against them (and even succeeding as some still think Jared ands Slazzo are pos) and in both there was a clear power dynamic becauseone wanted to leave the relationship, the other just lost interest but the abusive exes were like 'stay or fucking else!'






Maybe i'm over thinking things. But lizzy wants nothing to do with lily now, trying to forget her, but its lily who always brings lizzy up, shit talks her, etc.
