I think it's clear they can't play the long game, if lemione's letter is any indication, it's seems like they are desperate and getting to appeals would hurt them even more. If anything this could end up similar with Waid vs Meyer in which it's a battle of attrition. However we all know that even if Vic doesn't win, more and more dirt on FUNI is getting exposed to the point of no return for them. Too bad those dumbfucks refused to settle, because of "muh vurtues". Lets see just how long they can pretend they got any conviction.

To the point of a PR disaster for Funimation which is good PR for Vic. The PR victory is the most important one to shoot for. Monica, Ron, Jamie and Funimation might not realize it, but them winning this lawsuit will come with a hefty cost. You can summarize their position, not just in imagery but in effect, with a single Yugioh card.

Another thing Lemonys notice does is tank the supposed story of the Defendants, either the lawsuit is not done and they know it, and as such Lemuaaaa is trying to get more ammo for the following fights, or he needs some reason to get at the GoFundMe money which according to their narrative was a thing that the judge would naturally do even without promting, or he is just trying to fuck with Ty and if that is the case why now when they already won?

That notice is incomprehensible for any KickVic that is ignorant of the matters at hand (a lot of them that had visceral reactions to go defend the victims or that are stupid enough as to take CPAP opinion as something valuable), and those that know what it means will either shut up and ignore the notice or focus in the part about Nick, like lawtwitter has done.

Example Spacebattles only post about Limaman notice is this.

New documents filed. Subpoenas on both Ty personally and his firm asking for documents from/to Slatosch, Huber, Dahlin, Nick and Kamehacon.
They should appear in the dropbox soon.

Trust me, even if Vic loses tomorrow, you can bet your last dollar that Nick is going to drop the Hiroshima bomb on them by revealing everything. That’s why Nick is just taking his time and letting events unfold so that when the time’s right, the shit will hit the clique. He did it before with the leaks, he’ll definitely do it again here.

I doubt they'll even notice. KV has blinders on to anything that doesn't support their narrative. Here's what they see through their tunnel-vision:

"ha ha, hee hee! Not a good look for Percy! Gee, it'd be a shame if the judge gave them access to all their privileged communications and something embarrassing came out! Time to double-down on the victory laps, fellow humans!"

They're not going to see that their "lived truths" never came out in court, never got cross-examined, that the legal bills are piling up even more now (meaning possibly literally everyone will have to declare bankruptcy if Vic wins in the end), that it shows that Fuhrer Lemwahwah suspects there's more going on but DOESN'T SEEM TO KNOW WHAT HE'S EVEN LOOKING FOR...

All they see is "not a good look for Vic."

But who knows? Judge Chupp doesn't seem particularly good at his job. So anything could happen, I guess.

The thing is that a lot of people in this are malicious, but they would spin everything to support their narrative so they don't matter too much.

However there are some that just heard Vic bad and without any fact checking went on to give their support, these are the guys that are going to be confused by lemuaaaaaasaaaaas notice.

Lemongrass has been trying to put this case in the mainstream public eye, and has been failing, but funnily enough the regular public would be the ones more critical of this notice, because it just doesn't fit the pattern the Defendants have presented all this time, and it's not something they can blame Ty about, because it's not a response, people without a stake in this are going to look at limamean and not understand what he is doing.

so wait... wouldn't this violate attorney/client privilege? A quick google search does show instances when it doesn't apply but when I try to look for case law.... yeah. nothing. so if it doesn't apply then whatever....
but if it does and chupp actually tried to force Ty to violate it.... well can Ty refuse and force the issue into a higher court somehow? I get the feeling if Chupp's behavior was exposed to a higher court he'd be very... 'disliked' fast.

Hopefully we can get a law-kiwi for a better explanation. But my plain-ass reading of it is: Not EVERYTHING he's asking for would violate privilege, but SOME of it does. So Ty can resist it on those grounds, because it's not his job to go "Well, A for effort, but this is blatantly improper. Let me help you fix that and concede the things I can."

Ty has no impetus to help his opponent here, and it would probably be improper/sanctionable if he DID put any effort into helping harm his own client. It's over-broad, and frankly baffling why someone would wait until a dismissal to request new evidence. If you want to accuse Vic of something, get your OWN damned lawsuit. That would be the proper time to subpoena new information.

But hey. Go easy on me. Not a lawyer.
