I don't think Chupp cares as long as this autistic dumpster fire involving Chinese cartoons leaves his sight. Also Chupp's gotten 3 Writs of Mandamus; I doubt some fuck ups in a mid-level MeToo case involving foreign cartoons will get him disbarred or in deep shit.

Chupp is a dumbass, who apparently got pissy over people threatening him on social networks or whatever

No no, @OneHandClapping was just describing what the point of sanctions are - not that this fucking mess of a lawsuit is an appropriate place for them.
I know the point of them and agree with @OneHandClapping, what I think is dumb is the fact sanctions are being applied against Ty. Attorney's fees, I understand but sanctions? That sounds like fuckery is afoot.

It was improper of him to whine about that in a context where it might create the appearance that his decision was influenced by his fear of ex parte communications from random people with nothing to do with the plaintiff. If he lacks the intestinal fortitude to deal with the opinions of the public, maybe he should find another job.

He has his coming. he's committed enough fuckery that he's going to get investigated if an ethics complaint is filed.... and that alone will tank his business prospects and in a way that he can't really do anything about without worsening his reputation.
or to put it nicely, he's heading for becoming a cardboard box lawyer.
Wait, now that I think about it isn't Ron Toye information public? Like the exact information that would be in an ethics complaint, would it be illegal to use that info and file a complaint against Lemoine as if it was from Ron?

Not saying anyone should do this, because I am pretty sure it's illegal, like very ilegal, I'm more interested in how the complaint ethics board would handle an ethics complaint that appears to be true and may have valid complaints to investigate but comes from a falsified party.

Edit, to clarify I am interested in knowing what safeguards the ethics committee has for ethics complaints, because there are people that make bogus claims, but do they also have safeguards to asertain the identity of the people making the ethics complaints or does that only come into play after they deem a complaint worth investigating?

This is exactly what irks me about this guy. Fucking moron robbed us of entertainment by being such a tard.

I watch Nick's streams on a second screen and when I saw it out of the corner of my eye I thought he was doing a lewd topless stream for a second.

How is the fact that Lemwah/moron dodged discovery not a slam dunk appeal point by itself? And why did that just end up getting basically swept under the rug? Seems majorly fucked that they can just refuse to provide evidence, then get the suit tossed (in large part) because chupp didn't feel there was enough evidence presented at the hearing. Like, no shit, they didn't provide it and were never compelled to do so.

It's kind of the point of TCPA, in a way. The plaintiff should have all the evidence he needs to make prima facie from the get go, since TCPA freezes discovery, and actually sane defendants would say "no u" and file TCPA right away.

The problem here is that all defendants conducted at least a little discovery against Vic (Johnson and Volney got to depose him for a few minutes) and in at least Johnson's case that discovery was used in their defense.

I don't think the discovery fuckery is in and of itself a good appeal point. It just means they're difficult shits. What's a good point is that all parties conducted discovery against Vic. If you file TCPA (which basically says "why the fuck am I being sued? You have no case"), but then conduct discovery against the plaintiff (which suggests he at least has claim you need evidence to defend against), that should be a big red flag.

EDIT: Nick talked about it briefly. It's an argument, but might not worth it considering timing and word limits.

Johnny Yong Bosch confirms on his insta Vic and him are still talking, in particular about him voicing Sabo.

Sounds like he wants to do Vic's work as Sabo justice. He seems extremely appreciative of his fans and pretty much answered and thanked them all.

Someone said he'd be better as Sabo and he just thanked them.

He confirms that Vic's at least thankful that Johnny is taking over Sabo. Probably much better than someone like Liebrecht who is open about not respecting Vic.
