How many fucking dating sims are they gonna make? The reboot of the doomed fandom in Hivestuck was actually interesting. I replayed it several times and was ready for the second part. That was what, 2-3 years ago? The dating sim they released afterwards even have trolls that were never introduced in the game.

Oh yeah, I think I lost interest once they started "revealing" trolls who had shit like "horny on main" in their bio. Because we all know short-lived memes dont age a game tenfold when they're no longer relevant.

It's sad how a bunch of generic sjw drama can kill even that longlived a fandom.

Homestuck was always influenced by its fandom since its inception, and it shows when you compare its earlier acts to everything that came out basically after the interactive troll Flashes, when the fandom had been completed replaced with proto-SJW's. The best example of this is the line about Trickster Jane's skin aging like milk left out in the sun, which only makes sense if you were paying attention to the race drama going on at the time and falls flat when you read it without that context.

Hussie's humor is hit-or-miss and a very acquired taste, but at that point, Homestuck had ceased to be his creation and it was obvious because the ghostwriters didn't and still don't know how to write like him. And probably aren't capable of it.

Thank God I wasn't the only one who thought the same thing too. They're making so many dating sim. I get it they don't want Hiveswap to to be non-existent again.

I have a confession, I do like some of the troll designs from the friendsim however, some design don't feel like they belong in Alternia in general. Some of them felt like Beforus design. I wonder if some of artists who did the characters confused Beforus with Alternia.

The whole thing has taught me a valuable lesson: if I ever write my own teen-friendly entertainment media, it will absolutely not have any weird or nonstandard romances, sexualities, or genders, because that gives your work a fandom that you absolutely do not want and can not get rid of without having them launch an autistic crusade against you. It's like making paintings that have crack cocaine as the main pigment; you'll get junkies that don't care about any other aspect of the work because they are just going to smoke the whole thing anyway and just want more and more and more crack. And you'll have crackheads desperately trying to worm their way into your life and following you around and driving off all the fans you actually want.

Ironically, this is going to lead to less inclusivity as it becomes common knowledge that you just don't put troons and genderfreaks into your work unless you want to deal with a bunch of mentally ill freaks who will eventually cannibalize you and nuke your career for no reason.

If anything, you should probably offend these losers right off the bat because they're a lot more vicious to people they originally idolized.

As much as I hated what Homestuck became I could at least accept that it was properly dead and that everything after was marked distinctly as just more fanwank. Now the dead horse has been exhumed and you know Hussie has always had a weird thing with horses.

I believe that when 4chan creates something, it needs to leave anonymous hands and be nailed to a specific person/team, like Katawa Shoujo or Risk of Rain. Otherwise, parasites like the LBGSCP fags take over perfectly good content and drive it straight into the fucking ground.

Just collect all the triggers claimed by troons and other SJWs and throw in at least one from the outset just to discourage these people as "fans." They ultimately destroy everything they claim to like anyway.

Even if that's a sequel, how ridiculous is that a free indie webcomic became the very last opposite of these ideals? It's at 490 patrons day one; these sheep saw Hiveswap and the unfunny SBaHJ book's crowdfundings, yet never learn.
