Okay guys so holy shit, I am trying to have a rational argument with the Teej and holy crap is he misconstruing everything and making everything damn well impossible. Can I post it on here? I'm at a loss and that says a lot for someone who's had 8 pages of PMs with the dude. Seriously, I like to think myself a relatively logical person and have even studied a bit of rhetoric but this is just beyond me.

Edit: I don't think I'm going to ask Teej permission for this one because he is being so utterly stupid and pig headed.

I've studied epistemology for years. TJ has no theory of self, and therefore can not be argued with like a logical person. Yes you can post it here, just take screenshots.

For someone who's using this intentionally, the goal isn't to actually refute B's points, necessarily it's to run out the clock on them and declare victory when B decides he's got better things to do with his time, like scoop out his eyeballs with a rusty spoon. But for someone doing it unintentionally, as Mr. Church has done this whole thread, they believe that this method actually is the way you debate things. Unfortunately, this is exactly what Teej believes, and he has unlimited time and limitless powers of intractable self-delusion. Have fun, @Kitlen!

Did TJ just say that math can't use placeholders to represent unknown numbers. That... that is just... There aren't any words to describe the stupidity of this statement.

Let me explain what she was saying: You're an individual, you do not speak for the group. The individuals mindset is not the entire groups mindset.
1 person = X
The rest of the group = Y
The group = Z
X+Y=Z
If you subtract X from Z it will equal Y. If you subtract Y from Z it will equal X. X will never equal Z. As Y approaches Z the significance of the X decreases.
In this situation you are X. The group as a whole is Y, and is rather large. You're pretty insignificant in what the group thinks as a whole unless people agree with you. However, at times an individual will act like a total fucking sped and will be considered separate from the group, especially if they have a forum topic about them.
To put this back into the algebra analogy: X, no matter how significant compared to Y, still has a value and still can be removed from Z.
