Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

People who actually hire lawyers want lawyers who the other side hates.
This seems like a nonsequitur, the question is whether this hurt BHBH's rep since despite the monetary value not being as high as some of their clients' might be, it is clearly the a very high profile case

Y’all are both kinda off imo.

People at the the level of needing a Lawyer from a firm like BHBH likely aren’t using google or Twitter to find them. A lot of them are direct referrals.

This is what I was trying to say. Rich people aren't going to Google for lawyers. They have people who they will ask for assistance. There will be informal networks.

And if someone on this level has an agent of some kind looking for a law firm, that agent most likely would do research on the firm, figure out that one loss isn't a deal breaker because the judge was shit.

Hell, the level of clientele Judges probably aren't a big problem. "Whose this Chupp guy? Oh, appointed by Rick Perry? I got that guy on speed dial. We'll get this fixed in an afternoon."

Dunno why Ty gets all the love around here. Even Nick said his TCPA brief wasn't very good.
so have we here. Repeatedly. We've literally been saying everybody except Sam Johnson in that TCPA Hearing was shit hundreds of times. Doesn't mean that Ty was as bad as that one day, where he was also caught off guard by how Chupp acted in the hearing, at other times.

Yes I'm sure it's a coincidence right after we have a troll trying to post fake digital sound bytes for some upcoming news article attacking Vic for his "evil nazi fans on Kiwi Farms who think women should be raped," right after Law Twitter starts posting images of the thread here to dunk on in their performative outrage desperately trying to get Popehat's dick to twitch so they have something to suck off, that you just happen to show up.

It's all so fucking tiresome. I get that God obviously loves Vic so he made his enemies complete fucking idiots, but Jesus.

When you google beard harris bullock and hughes you get a bunch of info about their firm, mainly their website, and nothing about Lawtwit sperging

Imagine thinking the #threadnought can even affect the SEO of a random lawfirm. They can't.

The number of painfully obvious disingenuous concern trolls in this thread is embarrassing.
No kidding.

Nick's addressed this before. Things the internet throws a hissy fit over aren't important to people who need lawyers. Even if Ty loses, it won't mean anything because it doesn't reflect on BHBH's overall record in any meaningful way. "Oh, we represented a dozen oil barons and rich punks worth fortunes and it all went well, but this one time we represented a random VA in a garbage fire of a case and we couldn't pull out a win. I guess we have to pack it up, no one will ever want to use us again! After all, we've never taken a defamation case before, and so now only people wanting defamation litigation will come to us in the future!"

Also, I assume they've resorted to taking pictures and running back to their broken down twitter thread because dingy cow sock ran out of room to store his trash cans. This way they can make 'witty retorts' to things the thread says and only get buttpats in response.

I'm just throwing shit out until we get some kind of response to Lemwhiny's insane filings. I think a few of us are still mentally flashbanged by that shit.

He's flailing like an idiot and acting oddly unlike someone who just completely won his case, even though that's actually what happened and even an appeal of a crackhead decision like this is uncertain at best. He's desperately trying to get Chumpp to throw out the Second Amended Complaint even though the appeals court is not bound in the least by it even if it is stricken, since appeal of that will be de novo as well.

Chumpp said on the record he was considering it, or at least led everyone present to believe that, and then changed his mind in writing. Obviously if he'd said he wasn't, Ty would have argued the issue instead of being misled by the judge into believing the contrary.

I'd say he's acting like someone who knows he might get fired if he doesn't get a big chunk of that gofundme from the tcpa.

Nobody here is pro rape... we are just against woman having more rights than they need, like the right to vote...

More like he just won't get paid and there won't be anything to fire him from. As it is he probably only gets what was related to the actual TCPA filing itself. Taking a bunch of depositions for the trial makes no sense. Chumpp will probably give it to him anyway but that's just another thing to appeal.

(Which might be why the appeals court will reject the current appeal.)

I derive a sick sort of amusement from the fact that we just simply assume Chumpp is going to do the stupidest thing possible.
