After watching his videos I want to sit him down with some text books and a plate of food. Also a shock collar I can activate everytime he acts like an insufferable little faggot. I'd have him set right pretty soon.

Yes, it's entirely uncharacteristic for boys that age to try and build rapport over inabilities. Kids that age with no rhythm would be more likely to say that they hadn't learned how to yet or that they just didn't want to. Not dismiss it entirely.
