Being with the skeptic crowd and saying stuff like:

“Trigger the libs, Own the libs” and also saying “I was the reason Donald Trump was elected”
I think the trump one was a GG joke (can i have context for it) secondly from what I remember he was firmly on the left of center like most of the skeptics.

New video is out, and it's almost two fucking hours long.

Good luck to whoever decides to brave through this autismo fiesta. I gave up a few minutes in, when Quinton decided to tell his 300k subscribers that finding out that Channel Awesome was a bad place to work at threw him into a fit of depression so deep he wouldn't leave his house for days.

A friend of mine told me that it's a full length parody of To Boldly Flee where the villain is The Donald himself. I don't know if he finished it but that's the one thing he saw fit to tell me about it. Guess I'll try putting it in the background at 1.75 speed and see if there's anything else notable. There's Wheel of the Worst to fall back on so why not.

Edit: Aaaaand opening up with a t-shirt where Garfield says trans rights are humans rights. Fan-fucking-tastic. Way to self parody, Quinton.

In 2019 Anthony Fantano makes the incredibly astute and groundbreaking discovery that Nostalgia Critic is shit (Totally not mad his bumchums killed their careers when they left CA)

As usual Quinton jumps on the train a month or two after everyone's forgotten about the topic and puts obscene effort into proving that he is the best at pushing today's approved talking point.

I only watched the first 40 minutes when he talked about the movie itself. I found it weird that he censored the faces of former contributors. The movie is available for anyone to watch. Yeah it's as embarrassing as starring in weird porn for these contributors but they have to live with the fact they're in this movie.

Otherwise once I saw it was Quinton doing a bunch of sketches with some randos I stopped watching. I guess he made some points? He structured said points in a random order that I found hard to follow. I just watched the video and can't remember half of what he said because it wasn't all that interesting.

I'd pass on watching this. Anything he says about To Boldly Flee other people have said already and more concisely.

It's shocking how someone can have over 300k subs by delivering the coldest possible takes six months too late. At this rate we'll get a Projared video sometime in January.

Doubt it. Even if he was outed as a creep/drama or whatever (not counting in what happened afterward with the Jared shitshow) He's honestly so...boring and legit does he even have any real fans besides trannies, breadtube people and such? Even contrapoint ppl seem to think he comes off as a thirsty incel with just decent videos. Jared was kinda famous for years and nyk whether u like them or not has very good video production and a big active fanbase. THOUGH if it did happen I would throughly enjoy it, seeing male feminist types get their karma is always hilarious. Maybe we can get a confession from the sex doll?

Alright, I watched the whole thing so I'll give my thoughts.
This video was cut up into 2 parts, the 1st was him explaining what a Lore movie was, moralizing over that Channel Awesome controversy and giving his thoughts on Doug Walker and the movies he's made, all with the usual Quinton smugness that I've grown numb to after watching him for so long.

Quinton talked before in his Contrapoints video about how his opinions changed after recognising what he perceived to be his own tribalism and then having his eyes opened by Contra but I think the shit that happened with Channel Awesome kind of softened him up and made him question himself to the point of being so open and uncritical of progressive bullshit. The way he talks about it really explains why he underwent such a huge change of beliefs and character, he thought very highly of Channel Awesome and strived to be somewhat like them but then he found out that his heroes were trash and slowly started to become disillusioned with them, wanting to rebel and go in what seemed to be the opposite direction to him. I'm no psychologist but that's the way that I read it and I think he was actually trying to explain why he changed so much as a creator within this section so I'm not really seeing shit that isn't there here.

His critiques of Doug Walker and his shit movies were dead-on but this isn't some high-achievement because anyone can see their dogshit quality, I will give him points for articulating it well and not filling his criticisms with wokescolding though.

Now the 2nd part of his video is actually a kind of movie of it's own, obviously parodying internet critic movies and to be honest, I thought it was pretty funny. It's really devoid of woke shit and just feels like a super long skit from Quinton's older and edgier videos. I think that if you were once a fan of Quinton like I was, you'll probably enjoy part 2 of this video. One thing that surprised me is that he didn't even disavow his older reviews for not being PC enough while referencing them, he actually kind of embraces it in one scene where a character says "faggot", now he did censor the word but it's extremely obvious what he said if you watched his older videos and nobody berated the character for using it or anything. I don't really have any serious criticisms about it, he wears a trans-rights shirt and the main villain is Donald Trump but no commentary on either thing is made, they're just there and the Donald Trump thing could just be seen as a silly "the president is the villain" trope. Early in the movie, he took a jab at TheQuartering and makes a joke about how the look kind of similar but who really gives a fuck if he shits on QuarterPounder? All in all, not a bad Quinton video, probably the best one he's done in a long time which makes it all the sadder since you know that he could do so much better if he hadn't drank the Koolaid.

That'd make a lot more sense if Doug was some kind of big conservative or skeptic, but he's not. He's pretty much completely apolitical. As for all the other le edgy creators, they were and are pretty much all lefties. Linkara was the only outspoken conservative, he was probably the biggest prude there, and he left with #CTC. How is Contrapoints the opposite direction?

I'm not saying you're wrong, it's very possible Quinton believes this. It just doesn't make a damn lick of sense.

Quinton specifically says in the video that after #CTC, he became determined to have his content become the exact opposite if Walker’s. I think it’s perfectly reasonable to imagine that after forcefully divorcing from his old style of knock-off Channel Awesome videos, a Quinton who suddenly found himself lacking a real identity latched on to Breadtube-style shit as his new form of Anti-Doug Walker content.

I think Change the Channel just created a hole in his heart and becoming an SJW filled it.

I should have clarified what I mean. Quinton used to make reviews where he basically summarized movies while criticizing them and throwing in a couple jokes much like your run of the mill Channel Awesome creator but he's stopped using this format to talk about things more generally and moralize over themes. He's obviously dipping his toes into becoming a Breadtuber/Reviewer like Lindsay Ellis or Jack Saint which I would argue are the opposite of Channel Awesome stuff but he obviously got there through Contrapoints. These people are extremely PC and although Channel Awesome was never that offensive, I don't think they were walking on eggshells or cared all that much if they offended some people.

Also, could someone archive this? I've been trying and for some reason, the wayback machine doesn't wanna take this... Quinton's BS is too much for the poor thing.

I think you need to use old.reddit.com to archive posts; at least, I've never gotten it to work otherwise. I think this one should work:

It's very hard to relate or be willing to take any breadtuber seriously when they consantly act like smug, arrogant pieces of shit. Maybe it's not the water they put something in, but the youtube revenue
