Era has done none of this, its clout was that its members used to be on another forum, its userbase was never diverse for long and has always had awful and limited gaming knowledge, they try to cleanse out the gaming side of wrong thinkers who just want to talk games (exceptions made for Nintendo fetishists), and their entire industry strategy has been "suck up constantly while disallowing real discussion" while also going to war, doxing and sending threats to mid-major publishers who tweeted at them wrong. While totally not understanding the journalism side of the industry so that they shoot down "vilifying journalism" like mocking IGN for employing a compulsive plagiarist or mocking various channels for being garbage (Jimquisition, etc.), locking down on "disallowed sources" that can run the gambit, while promoting "freelance gaming journalists" who have been fired from glorified blogs and just tweet along with rising to hero status now fired Imran Khan who essentially made it his job to threaten THQNordic with child porn accusations. Then of course, the TRUE hero of our story, Hobbes.
