Yeah, this really doesn't look strange at all. Surely, SURELY, if he was to win the case, and get his attorneys fees. No competent lawyer would think Vic had a case after all. Surely Chupp would simply stick to West-Nile's side, and the appeal would NEVER get through.

If the appeal is successful, the sanctions and fees hearing is null and void, leaving the defendants with their own fees to pay. From what's been learned, once the hearing is held the appeal will then be heard and be determined whether it'll be pursued by the appeals court, which may be months or even a year from now. An exception to this is through an expedited appeal, which Ty noticed the intent for on what would be the deadline of such an appeal. Meaning, if the appeal is undertaken, we should hear the verdict by around January or February.

Depends on the appeal's results. If Jamie's dismissals still remains, she get her fees and sanctions. Otherwise for anything recanted, fees will be reverted and lemon should get nothing.

As I understand it, if someone decides to not be co-operative when someone is trying to depose him or her, it can be a god-damned nightmare to actually depose them, Nick is a particularly difficult case because he can lawyer up almost for free due to being a lawyer and also can just not say anything due to shield laws since he is technically press.
Slatosch could hire a lawyer and make it difficult for half-breath to depose him, which would ramp up costs for all parties.
This assuming that Lowmoans can even get the permission of the court to grant a deposition of dubious legal validity when he is about to have his case reviewed by appeals court.
