Absolutely true. I've seen a plenty of great companies run shit websites because they a) dont care about their website or b) cater to lowest common denominator so the site has no new features because ie is trash.

Remember every time the Fuhrer and his lackeys try to pretend they were all so 100% confident in TCPA victory and any half-blind lawyer can see it was immediately definitely getting tossed out, Lemonhead blabbed to a reporter and told him he expected the case to go on at least 8 months more just a week or so before the hearing. And then he scrambled and got the reporter to 'correct' the article so as not to show that anymore.

Is this a run up costs and fishing expedition? Could be normal though. Just odd. I tend to view anything Lemwah does with a lot of doubt. They are part of the lawsuit and defendants too, however this is for....whatever this is. So just found it a little odd that he is not referring to them by name, and want them all to be refered to as defendants. No other lawyer appear to be involved in it, aside those representing Monica and Toye (Casey and Perez). Perhaps it is to keep up generic language so there is no differences between all cases. Surely he will make that clear in the deposition that he MAY record.....

On the one hand, I've got to say that the thing really does look super sketchy at the moment. However, it's also basically a year away and they only announced it was happening a little over a month ago, so I give them a break on how it looks right now. (that's incredibly normal this far out with fan cons unfortunately) We'll see how it looks next spring after they've had half a year to really work on it and possibly bring more people on board.
That said, for all the points about saying DashCon was a scam (and I'm not implying it wasn't) that con did actually happen, from what I remember they just overpromised and underdelivered (and had to beg for money due to bad planning). I want to say there was a Vegas con that the owner tried to skip town during the con with all the money, which is closer to "scam" to me, but again still at least happened. (in these kind of cases, things are generally fine for the ticket buying public, the "guests" are the ones getting screwed) To me a scam would be an event that takes a bunch of preregistration and then never actually happens at all. (ie. people show up to the venue and there's no convention at all going on)

Consensus here is that they've moved from using legal means to defame Vic to just trying to pad the bill that Vic will have to pay. As for Nick, that was probably Lemon MAN trying to get Nick to spill his Funimation sources.
Eh, the only thing I can see preventing an advance of Operation Broken Staircase is them being too busy doing drunk victory laps on Twitter and a bunch of nobodies coming to the Farms to be Tokyo Roses. It happened with the TCPAs, it happened when the shit was dismissed.

Before even the notice of appeal is in on the 24th October
He launches this crap on on the 23rd October.
Yeah, this really doesn't look strange at all. Surely, SURELY, if he was to win the case, and get his attorneys fees. No competent lawyer would think Vic had a case after all. Surely Chupp would simply stick to West-Nile's side, and the appeal would NEVER get through. Lemwah, you know the state of your case don't you.
Therefore it is necessary to Depose Slatosch.....?
