Bob, the brave and generous man he is has decided to bless and enlighten twitter with an other hot take on the future of America, despite being sick:

Remember, in the superior future unnecessary jobs (manual labour) will be completely obsolete, while "knowledge workers and thinkers" (left-wing journos, tech-bloggers and anyone who works for Marvel/ Disney) will be elevated and empowered as the superior people of intelligence they are! As the superior American of intelligence, Robert Chipman himself pointed out, the bigoted mayonnaise ghouls will try to hold this future back. No Bob painting the troglodytes of middle America as "anti-intellectual, bigoted, superstitious and backwards" is not bigotry but facts! After all, why would Bob "I'm sick of being right" Chipman ever be hypocritical?

But seriously, if "anti-intellectual" and "bigoted" mindsets are what holding America back, Bob would have only himself to blame for the fact that he will never live to see "the space dream" come to life.

I don't really understand how a "post-national" future could ever be a good one. That's just begging for a wannabe tyrant to fuck you in the ass before the system implodes from spreading itself too thin. At least with different nations, you could (theoretically) choose how you want to be fucked.

I saw his little sperging about "hide behind Springsteen's B-sides" and for the absolute life of me I have no idea what he's talking about. Maybe it's because I'm not a fan of Springsteen. Maybe it's because I don't spend the majority of my life in a small room with no ventilation. Any of you fellow Bobbologists able to make heads or tails of this?
Well I used to be a fan of Bruce and I think Bob is referencing how Bruce (a guy from white working class background) tends to talk about white working class people in a lot of his songs. I don't know if you could call it romanticism, but Bruce doesn't try to actively demonize the people he sings about and I would imagine that Bob takes offense to that.

Edit: A sample of what I'm talking about

that's what he wants. It's why he hates Hunger Games, that's his ideal utopia. Obviously he'd be in the capital instead of the districts so the movie saying that the capital is bad is clearly a personal attack against him.

I'm pretty sure the main reasons why Bob supports the idea of a "post national" world are: 1.) Post national= open borders, which Bob hopes will lead to non-white immigrants overflowing and out-breeding the populations of red states, leading to marginalisation and disenfranchisement of the evil mayonnaise ghouls. And 2.) As @Arthur Morgan said Bob supports the idea of a global tyranny, at least one that goes with his beliefs. A global tyranny ensures that Bob's "superior future" will have almost no threats, considering it's not like "the people" will be able to voice their opposing thoughts/ opinions on the "superior world". Also remember this quote:

Well the awkward grammar and needless quotation marks instantly mark it as Bob.

Y'know Stalin was actually pretty good looking.

It's amazing how step #1 in his plan for a post-labor society is to import infinite low-skill foreign workers to do slog work. WTF is he going to do with the all the foreign plebs after fictional robots show up to take their jobs? The feds will completely shutter NASA long before they cut food stamps and section 8.

That's something that always crosses my mind when people love both open borders and automation. It can easily be argued that they prevent technological development because why bother making a machine when you can get some dude from Mexico to do it?

It's debatable how major of a factor it was but one example off the top of my head is the ancient Greeks were close to figuring out how steam engines work. The tech just never went anywhere besides being a novelty item because there was no push for it.

Bob doesn't necessarily want automation, he just wants the "inferior" Trump voting white working class to die out.

Bob's people are coastal New Englanders and he doesn't know they used lobster as garden fertilizer until after WW2 and would see you as some kind of mad barbarian for even thinking of eating one.
Lobster was poor people food, until the elites decided it was tasty. Land bugs will be poor people food, except for small amounts of 'delicacy' bugs, or 'ironic' dishes where the elites have their spin on a poor

To Bob, a post labor world is not one in which labor is done by robots, but by a people so powerless, voiceless and interchangable that they may as well be automatons. A drudge class of utterly powerless prolitariet that lives in pods and eats bugs, each one a cog in the machine of his global utopia.

I think it's a means to an end really. His want of being in a robot body and living in an oddly retro-styled future seems genuine. He's just dimwitted to know he's describing some odd cyberpunk dystopia that's unlikely to play out especially in his lifetime.

It is.

You'll note in that second article the extreme thinness of the genre.
Surprisingly, Blade is a Afrofuturist film. Didn't see that coming. Not that Bob cares since this was not the Disney-era Marvel.

That Cyberpunk 2020 board game a couple years back actually mocks his ideology.
