This just marks how messed up Bob's values are. If you're upset about a death in the family, would you really care about a screening for your job, important or not? He could have just said 'feeling miserable, death in the family has ruined my week and halloween', and even though he'd come across as self-involved, he'd at least seem genuine in his grief. Lumping the death of a family member in with a cold and not getting to see an advanced showing for a film really highlights how much of a sociopath he is because he seems to think those are all equatable events in ruining his life.

I really want to know how he thinks internationalism will work? Does he think places like Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, Uganda, ect. are going to adopt the values that let him be a useless loser and say dumb things on the internet? Wouldn't exporting those values to them be a form or Western Colonization? Does he think those cultures would value ours if they were giving the opportunity?
