God I’m so tired with people dragging things up someone said or did years ago that they didn’t like to end them.

Someone in that thread brought up the fandom’s inability/refusal to do anything proactive about the real abusers over Tse’s benign response, someone responded with “there’s only so much that can be done :(“. No. Get over your guys’ fucking disapproval of cops and start reporting instead of making callouts that wont do shit.

It seems like a nothingburger, aside from the fact another con might get dragged down too by the open-and-accepting fandom. Just remember if you want to host a furry con that not only are finances always an issue, but your own audience will destroy you.

Despite how much the former hates the latter there's one thing that the fandom and cops have in common. Which is that they officially care more about protecting their reputation instead of expelling all of the awful shit that they attract, as doing so would make them look bad.

They simply cannot connect one and one. Taking out the trash would be an extremely beneficial look on them, but fuck that it’s too much work to admit there’s a problem.

Pretty sure they're aware that it would mean kicking at least 70% of the fandom by itself, and many don't want to lose their biggest and probably only source of easy income, they'd rather turn the blind eye and not risk their "safe space"
