So you're saying Hillary Clinton should be "drafted" into the race?
I was referring to the fact he's incredulous that anyone could look at the Dems' field and be unimpressed. If he thinks most of America sees Biden, Warren, Sanders, Harris, Booker and O'Rourke and goes, 'Now that's a rockstar lineup if I ever saw one!' then yeah, he's out of touch.

It's a clown car in almost every sense of the term.

Hm the geriatric and corrupt vice president, the fake Indian, the geriatric sell out socialist or the human cheesecake polling error...
I just can't decide which one of these sure fire winners I like more.

It's an embarrassment of riches. Actually, no, it's just an embarrassment.

I have some far left leaning friends who recently said that they were okay with pretty much anyone in the lineup except Steyer.

That should make most people run screaming.

They also said Medicare for all is the only way forward, but it only works if you force everyone on it. So yeah. Run.
Try to find out if they think Medicare just means all medicine and medical procedures are free.

I remember in elementary school in math they used to teach you to sanity check your result when using a calculator or computer. You might have misplaced a decimal point. Or pushed plus instead of minus. There might even be a problem with the computer. But whatever school Nate Silver went to must not have taught that.

Presumably he thinks she should have better odds. How in the hell could anyone sane look at Kamala, then look at her number and say, 'This doesn't make sense. This number is too low.'

It's the same with all the Dem candidates really. None of this shit passes the eye test. How can anyone look at a poll showing Biden beating Trump by double digits and think, 'This makes sense. He is that much stronger of a candidate.'

Numbers Boy needs to learn numbers aren't everything.

She might as well. Democrats are doubling down on the exact same 2016 strategy so might as well run the same candidate. Is there a way she can choose herself as her vice president? That would really sum their entire gameplan up.
Tulsi Gabbard is looking extremely attractive to me in regards to political points and policy. I do admire Trump so far, but his narcissism and Middle Eastern politics can be disappointing at times. Trump will most likely get my vote again, but we shall see.
Don't agree with all of her policies but someone like Tulsi may be the democrats best bet. Only been in congress for 7 years so she doesn't have the unlimited supply of skeletons in her closet that life long politicians do. Active member of the military. Thought she came off too passive but after going after Kamala and now the Hillary thing she'll clearly take the gloves off if she feels it's necessary. Not sure anyone could beat Trump at this time, but he's already embarrassed Warren and Biden before campaigning kicked off. Clearly none of this has a chance in hell of happening but this is more of a "what if" scenario.

Well if Nate would spend five seconds doing some actual research he'd have seen the fifty damned news articles that came out about her laying off campaign staff, cutting down on the size of her campaign in some states, "restructuring" her campaign, etc. These aren't the actions of a winning candidacy. I mean for fuck's sake Politico used the phrase, "hemorrhages cash" in the headlines when they were describing her campaign, which still has yet to break even 5% approval in her own party.

If you're down at the race tracks and one of the horses starts to chew off its own legs, you're not exactly going to be leaping over the counter to go put more money down on that particular horse. This isn't exactly a mystery, Silver.

Just a reminder that Nate Silver is only seen as some political guru because he got lucky in 2012 with his predictions.
Dude is one of, if not the, most overrated pollsters/pundits out there.
I await him getting inevitably BTFO again this time year.

To be fair, of all the mainstream predictions he gave Trump the highest chance of winning, low though it was overall.

On the other hand, he hosted a panel shortly after the election where people discussed the chance of Trump unilaterally declaring himself a dictator and the conclusion was “pretty likely”.

I’m inclined to think he’s mostly overrated.

I’m just saying that when a group of millennials whose primary political goal is the collapse of Western capitalism thinks everyone on the field is a swell choice, then maybe normal people should rethink their support for the party as a whole.

Plus if your political views unironically include the phrase “it will work if we just force everyone” then you should not be allowed within miles of public policy creation ever.

I would put Rand Paul over Donald Trump but for some reason Rand wasn't on the list.

I'm hoping Donald will reveal his power level and finally dial back the 5billion per year that Israel is getting.
If he does that he has to stop giving Egypt money

and then there is ANOTHER sinai war which will disrupt global trade (especially global trade in oil) and cost the us economy more then 10 billion annually

I think I'm reading this right, Nate is predicting Kamala? Oh boy the fail is strong with dumb dumb here. I am calling Warren versus Trump. Whatever the case nobody is going to beat Trump next year.

It wouldn't surprise me if one hit wonder Nate got inside information from the Obama reelection officials. Funny how all it takes is one once in a lifetime prediction and now you're suddenly master of the universe.

Reminder: Nate not only didn't get the 2016 election wrong but the look on his face election day suggests he may be in bed with the Democrat party.

My prediction:
Liz wins Iowa and NH
Bernie wins Nevada
Joe NARROWLY loses South Carolina
Liz and Bernie clean up in Super Tuesday and Joe leaves the race and endorses Mayor pete who has just enough to right-size his campaign
Mayor Pete does well in the March 10th primaries
He starts getting cut down to size but he drops out after the Indiana primary and endorses the survivor of Liz v bernie (itll be liz)

Some bitter twisted husk of Never Liz and Never Trumpers coalesces around some Billionaire who takes enough anti-trump votes away to help Trump get re-elected
