I actually just realized who she is. I used to follow her and yeah, her whole life revolves around being sick and getting surgery. I never watched her too closely because she was boring. She might have even been brought up here before. Her insta is watercolor_me_impressed.

Like, her last insta photo (other than a giveaway for a tee shirt that says "Standing is my Cardio: Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome" where the model is also holding a neck brace, apparently someone called "grace and brace" on Etsy) is of her laying on the ground in 80 braces after falling. Like photos of her laying on the ground with medics around her then photos of her hospital bed with leaves that fell off her shirt. Before that, a photo about awareness where she's wearing 500 of those ring splints and before that a photo of her back covered in surgical scars bragging that she has the longest wound her surgeon has ever seen.

Sounds pretty OTT to me, fam.

Collecting receipts but can't promise fast turnaround, I'll be busy as hell the next 8 days or so.

Edit to add: holy hell, she makes every single event about her health. Smiling photo at a wedding? "I passed out six times after this was taken and needed to be in my wheelchair the rest of the week but it was worth it!" Mom's birthday? "I feel terrible, I am not doing well at all, but at least I'm not in the hospital right now like I was this time last year so i can paint her this card."

OH MY GOD I'm so happy you brought her up! I've seen a lot of her stuff. For some reason, in many circles, she was sort of untouchable, similar to MF, as the example of "well this person has shit for real and everyone should be more like them." But a lot of things seem shady. She comes off like a nice enough person, but all the procedures and tools are the same that all the munchies have. And a shame about that spine surgery, once you get butchered youre in it for life. It's all so much, the saline, the feeds, the constant crises all the time, the life revolving around surgeries and shit for a condition that typically doesn't follow this trajectory. Plus editing all those vlogs has got to be time consuming. Cool to see her finally discussed!

He was a young trans man rabbi (some say he wasn’t a rabbi but I know NOTHING about that process) who claimed the usual zebra ailments and had ALL the surgeries and devices, and a record setting number of sepsis infections. He wound up choosing to not treat his last bout of sepsis and go into hospice which actually took quite a long time to kill him. I don’t even think he died of sepsis but of starvation and organ failure. It was absolutely an interesting and disturbing situation.

I have never seen a more exceptional fundraiser. These fuckwits expected to raise the funds AND have a custom wedding gown made for this dying dangerhair in seven days.

Dare you to call a seamstress and tell them you even need bridal gown alterations with a one week deadline and you'll get laughed at or hung up on. If you're lucky they'll call it a rush job and charge you more. Bridal gown alterations alone are hundreds of dollars, even for minor shit like a hem, let alone a custom rush job. Pfft, not even $1000 would cover it. What a ridiculous waste of effort and money. At least it never happened.

including $1200 to pay two other carers, and they had to slip in these dicks are disabled AND queer, so you know, that means they deserve to get paid more than anyone else.

So basically Emet died by slow suicide. They refused to eat, refused NG, GJ tubes, and eventually refused TPN. Can't tell if it's legit, but what a way to go. Dilaudid and asspats all the way home.

I feel like I should mention that Julian (disabled hippie of Chronically Jaquie friendship) was ALSO friends with Emet. They also seemed to “share” diagnoses. Seriously is there a secret summer camp where all these people meet and try on disabilities? (If so it’s sounds terrible.) Julian did a series about death positivity after Emet passed and they might have even done some lives together before he passed? I can’t remember and tried to avoid them.

The best stuff is in his highlights, which is a compilation of contradictions and attention seeking at its finest. He died, but by refusing food, water all the whole complaining that he was getting kicked out of hospice bc his stay there was too long. His supposed EDS did not kill him.

PS the custom w/c friendly wedding gown GFM was truly exceptional. (I have lost the ability to pull and reply to quotes.) Somehow in hospice he met his soulmate and they were begging for money to get married. It came out of nowhere but then again, I was never in communication with him or knew anything more than his IG account. So maybe some back story there.

Halloween of 2008/2009 (depending on the source) is when her supposed CRPS began. Cow crossover with Jude Valentin who is a lazy munchie and shameless e-beggar, but still entertaining so check out her thread when you've got time.

She's been OTT but not gunning for a particular diagnosis lately. My guess is that her recent move has occupied her and her new doctors haven't caught onto her so she's getting enough of the Right Attention™ for now. Still alludes to stomach issues so I believe she'll try to focus on that once her life as an unemployed invalid gets boring again. At least, I'm holding out hope otherwise I'm following a speshul fat disabled enby for naught.

It seems all the fun munchies mostly post on instagram and I'm more of a twitter lurker. I'll hunt for a new one while Ophelia is still acquainting herself with her new doctors. It's mostly rando hot takes and vitriol spewed at the "ableds"

As for underage munchies, I can't think of anyone discussed here who's under 18. Adults should have made it out of their "making shit decisions because teenager" stage. SJ's in her mid-thirties, for fuck's sake, and SOS is old enough to pop out a couple kids of her own. Ren's probably the youngest that gets mentioned, but she's boring (see above) aside from that one time she bandaided a pen refill to her arm. That was poetic entertainment.
