The fact that no one is using them to grab headlines anymore makes me think that the funding Trump finally secured improved the situation.

The problem is that roughly 95% of this whole goddamned state is dry, yellow grass. It's everywhere, even around step-down transformer stations. All it takes is a spark or a stray cigarette, (which is why a lot of these fires get started near highways.) and you're fucked.
