If you say so. I’m just saying Lemon Man and the press seems to be playing the PR game to win hearts and minds like there’s an actual strategy and people actually donate to the GFM while people who come here like after the dismissal and going “Ha ha! Vic lost! You wasted your money! Nick and Ty are morons and they’re going to leave Vic homeless!”) are merely just annoying.
The reason I say “let it burn on its own” is because while we can do something with talking with our wallets, the combinations of leftists defiantly doubling down and the free market and leftists in entertainment pissing away fans, at some point, some alternative will pop up to blow everything out of the water or the outlets will wave the white flag and Old Yeller the woke shit lest they go bankrupt.
As for Toei, it’s simple: the Yen isn’t affected. It’s that simple. People overestimate how much Toei cares, and I feel that people overestimate Sabat’s influence. Everything about him being this “casting couch, bend the knee and kiss the ring” mafia don just sounds frankly absurd and conspiracy looning. Also we haven’t seen any contracts or agreements between the Japanese parties (Toei, Shonen Jump, Akira Toriyama himself) and the American parties (Funimation, Okatron 5000) so any Sabat talk and Toei/Sony/insert corporate Overlords here should be taken with all the salt. Honestly, the only ulterior things I can believe is that Monica and Jamie are going at the level they’re on is because they’re at least partly fueled by jealousy, and that Sabat runs his studio like a frat house and at some point, he let his professionalism slip and he and his buddies screw around with frat house like things (honestly that aspect, I can’t be TOO pissed about. It happens sometimes when you’re a pro and go long enough without a proper challenger).
