Now that’s a shame...

On the other hand, I think it’s strange that she would pick McManus to like, but not NPR or even anyone from Funimation. It’s also interesting that she’s still following Vic. She also works at Funimation. My guess is that she’s trying to mend fences here, like she wants to be maintain good graces with her colleagues, but try not to hurt Vic. Kinda makes you wonder...

Well she has been very quiet the whole time and stuck in a den of vipers. You gotta do what you can to stay alive. But Vic himself listed her as a person he still trusts. Unless she actually comes out and says something I see no reason to be disappointed in her. Just pity her that she has to work with those vultures if she wants to keep her job.

Edit: Remember she also liked a pro Vic tweet too and is still following him while staying quiet. She’s being smart about this and keeping her head down and her mouth shut. It’s not ideal and it’s garbage but it is what it is.

People should stop excusing Caitlin Glass liking thousands of tweets. Even if she was pressured into showing solidarity, this is beyond what anyone would reasonably expect of her. No one would think less of her for taking time off Twitter. To put it another way, the only people checking in on what she likes are those in this thread.

So long as she doesn't go full Chuck Huber. Only winning move is not to play.

Well unlike Chuck she hasn’t put herself out there to begin with. She’s been quiet this whole time. People are a little too quick to want to cancel someone without knowledge of the intent and automatically assume the worst. How is that any better than KickVic?

Whether she is or isn’t remains to be seen, but Vic still trusts her and she hasn’t even done anything or said anything. I am not gonna cancel someone over liking tweets.

Unless she says something dumb or does something exceptional or any evidence comes out she is a traitor and part of the conspiracy I will continue to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Vic so far has his head held high at the cons he’s been too. I’ve also started watching his streams on Unlocked. He is keeping his chin up and staying strong.

His fans continue supporting him and going to support him at conventions. When the TCPA got Chupped, they all flocked to his GFM in response. Just last night the GFM received another influx. And of course people continue to see him on Unlocked.

Lemonhead and the peanut gallery’s attempts to demoralize him and his fanbase isn’t exactly working. Vic didn’t give up and is going through with appeals. His fanbase is still continually showing no signs of stopping in their support. If anything the more pressure they put on them the more his fans run to the GFM just to give them the middle finger.
If you say so. I’m just saying Lemon Man and the press seems to be playing the PR game to win hearts and minds like there’s an actual strategy and people actually donate to the GFM while people who come here like after the dismissal and going “Ha ha! Vic lost! You wasted your money! Nick and Ty are morons and they’re going to leave Vic homeless!”) are merely just annoying.
then we must be operating from different realities because there are quite a few people saying its the end on my side.
That said, I agree mostly with what you say but I don't agree with some. Why leave things to them to destroy it? they want to so bad, I say toss a pitcher of gasoline and a match on the bonfire they're constructing. if it's gonna go out, it should with a bang....
if I had the energy I'd do it by riling up japanese otaku's into petitioning animation studios into cutting ties with most western dubbing studios... by spreading choice lines of their favorite waifu's on japanese social media. in particular.... how that patriarchy line from kobayashi? of course this is all just wishful thinking. it'd certainly never happen. still. fun to dream.
on a more real note, it seems one of my earlier predictions was right. It seems like Toei is handling the recent leaks behind closed doors. The lack of DB content suggests that Toei is simply punishing Funi rather than cutting off ties. Makes sense since their bottom line in japan has ultimately been unaffected.
The reason I say “let it burn on its own” is because while we can do something with talking with our wallets, the combinations of leftists defiantly doubling down and the free market and leftists in entertainment pissing away fans, at some point, some alternative will pop up to blow everything out of the water or the outlets will wave the white flag and Old Yeller the woke shit lest they go bankrupt.

As for Toei, it’s simple: the Yen isn’t affected. It’s that simple. People overestimate how much Toei cares, and I feel that people overestimate Sabat’s influence. Everything about him being this “casting couch, bend the knee and kiss the ring” mafia don just sounds frankly absurd and conspiracy looning. Also we haven’t seen any contracts or agreements between the Japanese parties (Toei, Shonen Jump, Akira Toriyama himself) and the American parties (Funimation, Okatron 5000) so any Sabat talk and Toei/Sony/insert corporate Overlords here should be taken with all the salt. Honestly, the only ulterior things I can believe is that Monica and Jamie are going at the level they’re on is because they’re at least partly fueled by jealousy, and that Sabat runs his studio like a frat house and at some point, he let his professionalism slip and he and his buddies screw around with frat house like things (honestly that aspect, I can’t be TOO pissed about. It happens sometimes when you’re a pro and go long enough without a proper challenger).

Yeah they’re annoying. Whooptie-do. Welcome to the internet.

Yeah they keep spinning PR. Because they are desperate because Vic isn’t just rolling over. His fans aren’t rolling over. The harder they try the more his fans rally to him and give him money.

And it pisses them off. Enough with the doom and gloom and just enjoy the exceptional show my dude.

Generally, in the world I grew up in, I fully agree and thats the right thing to do. The problem is that we arent in that world anymore. To each their own of course, but personally, if I had to toe the line or suck up to the animals in the VA biz to keep my job, I'd learn to code. It's not like it's that profitable biz for all but a handful anyway.

Now as for Vic placing his trust in people, God love him, but he's got a piss poor record of THAT working out for him. However I very much hope that eventually, we can return to a society in which we CAN give the benefit of the doubt with the odds being in our favor.

Respectfully disagree.

My point is until proven otherwise I’m not gonna cancel someone until I see real evidence of damage and exceptionalism.
I don’t suspect the worst of someone until I see some evidence they are the worst. I don’t operate like KickVic and MeToo. Fuck that noise.

I don't disagree but I will point out this; especially in light of recent developments japanese companies are hesitant to do anything with perceived waifu's. before the kyoto studios fire companies were willing to do something risky like ship a particular waifu with an MC even if they knew it'd upset fans because ultimately most would recognize the narrative purpose.... or in other words, they chose quality and money over a few otaku's feelings. after it, they're going to be much more hesitant to upset them..... and if that source is overseas? yeah I think they're going to clamp hard to prevent another kyoto studios incident. that said, the chance of that... frankly I don't care to calculate it, but it's unlikely.

I am. Honestly, when I see a bombardment of people here playing Tokyo Rose and Axis Sally here, that’s usually the time where I leave and maybe watch football or chill on my PS4 or talk RWBY on Discord.

I look at it this way, for better or worse. Unless someone is on the clock posting official company support from a work account, they are on their own dime. And if their dime is benefitting those whose beliefs stand in diametric opposition to my own, then thats an act of free will on their part... and as such indicates their position. If they wanna try splitting the baby and play both sides of the fence, I don't see where that argues for trust. It's not guilt by association, it's guilt based on their action.

So I can either choose to cut my own throat, or not. Generally I'm not into that sort of pain. I've seen this movie a few times now and the ending usually remains the same. Some people are more forgiving and I understand that.

There's moments it feels like reporters are mercenaries who don't care about anything as much as keeping their jobs.

We live in a globalist society where the truth doesn't seem to matter as much as loyalty. You see this ethic all the time, people going along with things because they know the cost to stand up for the truth is much greater than the kudos they will receive for toeing the line.

It makes me sick, being around people willing to lie to get their way. The media seems especially prone to ethical lapses, operating off a bankrupt business model and transforming themselves into clickfarms serving the PR industry. What animals.

Well her twitter is tied to her job as a voice actor. And if what Nick said is true about Funimation that that puts anyone who is friendly with Vic in hot water.

I don’t see it as forgiveness. I see it as being fair. I have given both KV and Vic the benefit of the doubt when this started, and looked into it, evidence was shown to solidify to me he is innocent and KV is filled with a pack of malicious liars. I believe in giving everyone the benefit of the doubt until I have evidence to show me otherwise. We’re better than MeToo bs.

I don’t know what it’s like at Funimation. I don’t know what all goes on. But if everything Nick said was true then it’s asking a lot for people to sacrifice their ability to pay for bills to become a martyr.

Regardless if she’s pro or against, she’s doing the right thing and keeping her mouth shut. We have no idea what she does behind the doors and I’m not gonna assume the worst. But regardless I’d have a higher opinion of actors and certain whales and fujoshits if even if they didn’t like Vic to stfu and keep it to themselves.

Goddamn, I leave for almost a week in order to celebrate Halloween and go to a Con but once I come back it is a dumpsterfire and I don't understand anything, may I ask for a quick TL; DR since last Thursday ?

Vic has a blast at that small con in dallas

Chuck huber went hippie lunatic preaching love and peace and shit to both sides trying to dance on the fence.

Dominique skank and her backup account got banned from twitter

A bunch of filings hit today for the attorneys fees from the parties and asking for sanctions and they're clearly full of shit we've been picking apart

I see, well that was to be expected even if Dominique Skye's bans are quite surprising. I thought that Twitter would never touch them due to some kind of connection.

EDIT : Thank you for the TL;DR

To add to what @TexOffender said:
>Ty finally called for backup and they're calling for sanctions towards lemoine so it seems they brought the artillery and aren't considering anything else.
>Huber Hubere'd
>A bunch of new shit just got added to the lawsuit thread right now, apparently everyone's calling for hearings for a ton of different shit.
>The appeals court clerk accepted Ty's appeals. (That is not to say they got approved by the appeals court, they just got added to their docket.)
>The defendants yet again run to the media. This time it's a radio.
Also a highlight to what Tex said, Lemoine is literally asking for the entire gofundme as lawyers fees. No I'm not kidding. And that'd be before sanctions. Obviously this exceeds the legal maximum he could ever get without chupp getting immediately smashed by a writ of mandamus for being a moron.

Speaking as a former journo who understands the media from the inside, NEVER, EVER, TRUST MODERN MEDIA. They are completely co-opted by hard left/radicals that care only about the agenda. You are better served by inviting the DEA into your basement meth lab to do a warrentless search. At least you can trust the outcome there.

The unfortunate reality is that while John Q. Public pays lip service that "the media sucks," the majority will still patronize mainstream media outlet coverage of a given topic and pay them for the idiocy. Case in point: How many people still have cable? How many go to see Marvel movies? That money PAYS them to lie, propagandize and push their agenda.

People have unlimited excuses (and they ARE excuses) why their special circumstance absolves them from giving clicks, subs and outright cash to the very companies/outlets they CLAIM are bad/evil/liars/communists/et-all. But anyone with a brain does not finance the source of their problems. And that, dear reader, is why the overwhelming majority of people are in fact, mindless sheep... regardless of how informed/smart or above it all they present themselves.

Sucks, but thats modern society in "current year."

Hey, you're back. The thread was lacking in monologues about SJW's while you were gone. But the return of allies is always welcome.

On a postive note, speaking of that small con found two more tweets of fans having fun there.
