Yes and no. Spencer had an argument... of sorts.

He was basically aruging that a nation-state is (or ought to be) defined and united by racial indentity, while castigating the "traditional right" as "race traitors" for rejecting the identity politics espoused by the modern left. He's got a big beef with classical liberalism, and made that clear right of the gate.

I never said it was a GOOD argument (and it certainly didn't resonate with me). Only that he had one. He at least adhered to the cardinal rule of a gunfight (bring a gun).

Contrast this with Sargon, whose idea of debating is a total misunderstanding of the Socratic Method. He obnoxiously answers every question with a question. Which he thinks makes him look deep and intelligent (but is actually just a display of pretentious sophistry that everybody, to include Richard, saw through). That's how we ended up with the infamous "What IS white, Richard?"

The two could have been debating whether Pineapple is an appropriate pizza topping. Spencer would perhaps opine that Pineapple on pizza it is degenerate Jewish plot.

Now that DOES sound like the height of idiocy, UNTIL you realize that Sargon's rebuttle is to just repeatedly interrogate Richard over "whether mankind could truly ever define what a Pizza topping is."

I can't exactly dismiss that claim out of hand. I am all but convinced Chris Cantwell is.

As I said before, he is, at the very least, a useful idiot. The incredible stupidity that he demonstrates on a regular basis could only be attributed to either a) being a plant intended on destroying the alt-right before it starts or b) being an incredible narcissist who has no business leading a political movement of any kind.

For example, there was no reason for a mass rally such as Charlottesville when the alt-right was still well outside of the Overton Window. The idea of telegraphing to Antifa, BLM, etc. where a bunch of white trash and internet spergs are going to congregate is just so incredibly convenient for the powers that be for it not to be a setup. Then, as the tape demonstrates, it might just be yet another ego trip for him. Regardless, the establishment clearly does not see him as a threat, otherwise he wouldn't be on CNN.

Alt-hype was absolutely right about this guy being a fraud. Yet, JF, the Gunt, and others keep platforming him just so they can get giggles out of how he "owned" Sargon (who couldn't debate his way out of a paper bag, so it's not much a victory). The alt-right will kill itself, if it hasn't already.

I don't know, but I would certainly entertain the possibility he is one. That is to say, an "asset," rather than an agent.

We know Hal Turner was. Cantwell all but came out as one, and I strongly suspect he was one before his arrest.

I don't see it as your typical tin foil hat Alex Jones shit. COINTELPRO was a thing. Who's to say it doesn't still exist in one form or another?

Not only that, but asking, "what is white?" is something I would call a decent question. The idea of "white" is something relatively new. There is no "white culture". Sure, there's French culture, Welsh culture, etc etc, but the invention of "white" as a concept is based on what it's not rather than what it is.

Except it's pretty clear Spencer was talking about biological race, and not culture. So Sargon is obtuse. Laurence Fishburne is black, BTW.

There are those of us, myself included, who can believe race is a reality (i.e. europeans are genetically distinct), while rejecting the idea that a successful nation has to be racially exclusionary (as Spencer seems to think).

But Sargon couldn't even manage to take that position in response.

Except when you get into genetics it becomes apparent that Europeans have significant crossover with other groups. There is genetic distinction, yes, but the lines making those distinctions are very blurred.

I feel like they'd want someone with...I dunno. Charisma? Eloquence? Charm? Any redeeming qualities, really. He's almost too pathetic to be a plant, IMO.
