'cept for the fact that Flanders was legitimately nice, Chuck is a cuck that's gonna be manjaw's next fuck, trying to suck Sabat's cuck, but he's shit out of luck. soon $12,000 will not be enough buck as he's on the way to the chopping block.

He probably is one of the few that are actually watching in pain and horror as the anime community is tearing itself apart. And perhaps is blaming himself for not being able to peace keep, or perhaps not addressing this sooner. We don't know how long he knew about this, but was intimidated into silence by the bigger parties in this. It's a truly problematic position to be in. Do you basically speak up and likely nuke your career or do you try and mediate things so people and hope things will calm down. From an viewer perspective, that's a very difficult choice to make. It's easy for us kiwis to commentate on it, it's another to try imagining yourself in their shoes. It's a fucked situation no matter what you choose to do.

BT is so dumb he actually can't get things correct that even his idols have said. The studios don't pay enough, and without those autographs and conventions, VAs can't survive. If fans don't like those VAs, they don't survive. Even in a clique like Funimation where you're hired not for talent or popularity but how far you can bend over the couch, VAs can't actually survive on that income without the cons.

And even if Sabat gets them in the door, they still aren't getting autograph lines.

Yep, this confirms my theory. Chuck thought from the beginning that this could be fixed if only he talked to the different parties involved and got them to agree to things so they'd stop fighting. He was opposed to the lawsuit from the start and thought it would only cause problems, and then from the first sign of trouble (the hearing), he freaked out and decided 'NO, SEE?! I TOLD YOU THIS WOULD JUST MAKE IT HARDER FOR YOU TO COME BACK!' and that's why he's acting like an idiot now. He genuinely thinks - because he's naive and dumb - that had they ONLY hashed it out, this fire would have died out on its own and everything would have gone back to normal, Vic included. Now he's just desperately hoping it will if they can bury the lawsuit and pretended it never happened.

Chuck.

It's not going to happen.

Sabat and the others want Vic dead. Unless Vic dies, there will be no time where Vic has 'suffered enough', no moment where their anger is soothed, no reason for them to ever take him back. They will not back down. They will not let go. They will never, ever let Vic back.

The only way to fix this is to take the legal path and destroy them. You can't put out the fire, you have to fan the flames. That, or you're abandoning Vic to the wolves and accepting that Sabat's cabal can throw out and utterly ruin anyone - including you, and it will be you next - any time they want. You can't mediate this, and you never could have. They are beyond reason, and they have been for a long time.

As much as Chuck wants to think himself the mediator in all this mess and as much as he just wanted both sides to stop fighting there's no way he's going to avoid the chopping block. His affidavit embarrassed Sabat with those casting couch allegations and has done nothing but help Vic which is a big no no for the clowns over at Funimation. He made it quite clear he was afraid that someone like Sabat could ruin his career and so because he didn't get on his knees and kissed Sabat's ass like a good little boy no amount of "Guys, I just wanted everyone to try and be friends again" is gonna stop him from being labeled an outcast over at the company, having other employees talk shit behind his back and/or maybe having a few allegations made up against him down the road assuming he decides to stay at Funimation. And if he decides to leave that wont stop Sabat or someone else at Funimation from just making calls behind the scenes to fuck Chuck's career a little more like they did with Stephanie.

I expected the death to be Chris Sabat only wearing a frilly pink thong sitting on Chuck's face and Rial giving him a denture-less blowie while Ron watches in his cage, one hand rattling the bars with his remote while the other one is trying to help him fail No Nut November.
