In that tweetstorm Jake complains about troons being victimized and then admits that their abuser is a chaser and would thus not be in the secret female whisper networks. What he fails to understand is that those female whisper networks are sometimes social but often professional. In neither case would they need to include a shut-in who hasn't had any professional experience... ever... since working as a bag boy at a grocery store. In fact, I daresay that they don't need to include any unemployed troons. Jake, those networks are to prevent women from being sexually assaulted or harassed, not tweeted at. I'm pretty sure they don't apply to you in any way.

But then Jake turns around and declares that everyone should get rid of whisper networks (because he's not in them). Instead he suggests:

No, I think it has to be acceptable reasons to end a friendship. Not acceptable to the person being unfriended but acceptable in a grander ethical basis. So if i do something that deserves the loss of friendship it doesnt matter if i think i deserve the friendship; i dont. But if i dont deserve the loss of the friendship it is wrong to end it for invalid reasons.

Sure, I'll gladly amend that to "lost his last IRL acquaintance who's not his mom".
He did make references to going over to friends' houses and things like that in his Googleshng blogs though:

I've been looking more into his time at RPGamer, he started on the site in 2000 and did the letters column as well as the occasional game review.
In the summer of 2005 he just vanished. There was some talk of a construction disaster happening at his home, but nobody really knew what was going on.

Jake's account of the formation of what eventually became known as CON is that is was something which existed in at least bare bones form before someone suggested inviting Zoe to join. He sounded quite resentful of her becoming its figurehead and her rules being applied to the group as a whole when he recounted it, but a lot of that could be sour grapes over her not providing him with a job, housing, health insurance, and a flying monkey butler. I don't think he ever mentioned who the original group members were, though.

I have a theory that the reason Rat Kingers gravitate towards troonery in particular is because it gives them an excuse to be parasites; they can take as much as they want from the people around them, but not feel any guilt or desire to reciprocate because the aforementioned people won't fully accept their "genuine selves".
