I dont think Sophie got married tbh. I noticed a lot of Tumblr type people in queer relationships like to use the term husband to make themselves sound more serious.

I seen an ebeg post a while back about someone and their husband needing money to survive. Both kids were pretty young so I had a stalk on their Tumblr archives and managed to find a link to one of their Facebook in less than 5 mins. It said they were in a relationship for less than a year.

I remember a documentary about this but it was like 10 to 15 years ago, if I remember correctly it was a short series like 3 or 5 episodes long. It looked issues around gender roles, various theories and studies about gender differences in kids and, if and/or how people treat very young kids differently depending on gender. One case was a new mom who was concerned about gender roles, how they could limit and control who the child could and would be, so she tried to raise her son gender neutrally. This was like dressing him gender neutrally, making sure to offer girly, boyish and gender neutral activities evenly, having play dates with both boys and girls evenly and that type of things. Result in that case? By the kid was like 3 or 4 the mom treated the boy as just a boy. Normal boy clothes, boyish hobbies and her helping him do boy stuff. She said that what her son gravitated towards and the gender neutrality was more work than it was worth. I think she felt bit humiliated and defeated but took it with enough grace. She put practicality and her son’s happiness over ideology so I think she was good if miss guided individual.

A kid needs to follow gender etiquette, such as boy aren't supposed to get touchy with girls, long before they reach puberty. You cannot keep them innocent until puberty when kids are prone to question and rebel against anything.

I can't see how what I said is comparable to troon shit. Troons focus on sex and personal identity, their concerns primarily self-centered (Every strip by Labelle, for example, is either about sex or oppression); my concern is social functioning. Kids are more likely to make friends, less likely to offend others, and in general would lead a happier childhood, if they know their genders and the behaviors expected of them.
