So, is the baby Yoda Yoda and Yaddle's bastard love child? Because I would not be surprised if it is.

I'd make a comment about Disney shitting on the Jedi even more, but I'll be honest, that's not something unique to Disney.

They talk about Yoda's race being born during special moments in galactic history. So thats the thematic element

Re: the proposed characteristics of the U.S.S. Cashgrab (the Disney Spaceship Hotel), what are the odds that most of these claims never happen?

Remember with GE, they made a lot of exorbitant promises there too (also known as "just plain old lies"), regarding wandering droids and aliens, more interaction, and the whole place being a giant LARP....and when they realized they would cost money, they pulled them all.

I just watched the first episode.

It was honestly pretty good. Despite the baby Yoda at the end they didn't shit the bed with the writing, the comic relief at the beginning gave me Rob Schneider from Judge Dredd flashbacks but I thought the flashbacks with the Mandalorian's past was a cool scene and the final act of the episode was really good.

But I am expect them to shit the bed in the next episode or towards the end.

Yeah, it wasn't bad.

Thoughts:
-Its weird hearing a non-human alien speak with an American accent. I know there was that two headed thing in the Phantom Menace, but I dunno, its like some audio version of the Uncanny Valley.
-I'm glad they didn't have the Netflix Bloat. The episode was only 40 minutes long and, for the most part, didn't overstay its welcome.
-Mandalorian lore is fucking retarded. I don't know why they're dumping this noble savage shit on a race known for having cool armor and gadgets.
-Aside from one good song near the end that sounds like the Rocky 2 theme, the soundtrack sounds like one of Bear McCreary's lesser efforts.
-The robot was cool.

It's just a blatantly obvious scheme to keep people subscribed for a longer time. People who really want to see the show asap will be forced to pay for weeks until all is done.
It shows Disney has no confidence in the strength of their catalogue. And of course, people like Dobson eat this shit up, claiming it's wonderful not being "pressured" into watching everything in one go.

I almost expect D+ (or some other such service) to introduce a system where any show you start to watch will make episodes available in a weekly cycle, independent on when the show was originally added to the service. Ie: You watch episode 1 and then need to wait a week before episode 2 is unlocked. Or it'll unlock them in batches, or something, but I absolutely expect some asshole streaming service to force viewers to wait between episodes, just so they have to stay a couple months to watch through a TV show.
