Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Hot damn, look at this quote.

Found the pilot through completely legal means. It's pretty damn good, if imperfect. At least Disney Plus has something for dads to watch on it.

I almost expect D+ (or some other such service) to introduce a system where any show you start to watch will make episodes available in a weekly cycle, independent on when the show was originally added to the service. Ie: You watch episode 1 and then need to wait a week before episode 2 is unlocked. Or it'll unlock them in batches, or something, but I absolutely expect some asshole streaming service to force viewers to wait between episodes, just so they have to stay a couple months to watch through a TV show.

Like those messaging apps that force a physical mail-length delay between message delivery so you can remember how great physical letters were. Except you're paying for it and being bilked.

Brilliant in its inanity. It just might work on bug men.

Mr. H did a thing on your favorite writer/director.

As someone who has ignored all social media drama as well as all Rian Johnson bullshit, this convinced me he's a fucking loser.

Best case scenario: Seasons 1 and 2 have minimal to no wokeness. Season 3 will have a bit more wokeness but will still be good. Season 4 will be fine and the rest will be shit.

Worst case scenario: The rot will begin halfway through
My problem is not really with the wokeness, it's about whether or not Filoni will keep his furfaggotry out of the show.
So far, Filoni and Favreau seem to want to show that Star Wars isn't about the diversity of humans but life in general in the SW galaxy. They showed a lot of different aliens and they weren't used as simple extras in the background, some have a dialect, their own currency, etc. It's those little things that bring that sense of wonder and mystery that used to be present in the Prequels and the Original Trilogy. There's a deep care for the lore, it's like TCW but in live action.

Now that's a scary thought - Mickey Mouse having control over Trump.
Not only that but if Disney owned a social media website like Twitter they could use their power to influence trends, to shape the thoughts of the users. Same with the current events, let's say something happens in China, would they let people talk about it and let the info trend for hours at the risk of ruining their multi-billion dollar contracts with that country?

And of course, people like Dobson eat this shit up, claiming it's wonderful not being "pressured" into watching everything in one go.
Bruh did the blue inflationist bear actually say that?!
I swear people will forgive Disney for fucking anything.
Disney, or any pseudo woke megacorp really. could steal food from the mouths of poor children and people would fight each other to be the first to declare how wonderful and progressive Disney was for doing so.
Holding back content to force you to keep your subscription, terrible business practices, just being general scumbags none of it matters.
Gotta have my capeshit and Star Wars you know.
It might be utterly terrible or just so bland you forget about it five minutes after you watch it but by god being a mindless consumer is what it's all about.
All these dictators in history tried to control people with fear and force but really all they had to do was shit out terrible lifestyle brands and consumer bugmen would gladly let them fuck their mother.
It's just depressing.

Maclunkey!

I'm guessing they still retained George's even more senile changes like R2-D2 now hiding behind a rock formation he couldn't fit thru and Vader now screaming "NOO!" in ROTJ.

At least I'll always have Harmy's Despecialized on my PC.

The scene was further modified for the 2019 4K release on Disney+ with the addition of a close-up shot of Greedo speaking (without subtitles)[a] and a re-rendering of the visual effects.[15][21]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Changes_in_Star_Wars_re-releases#cite_note-23

Holy crap I didn't want to believe that was real but I am still so unsurprized. Changing classic scenes, once again Disney is doing what everyone with Lucas Derangement Syndrome bitched about, I really can't wait to hear people like HelloGreedo justify this.
