Looking forward to it being filled out, there is a lack of ack so far. Phil the tutorial guru lol, willing to waste half an hour messing around offline but won't read any tutorial text.

I understand your point, but I think it's the opposite. DSP should be watching other streamers so that he can learn from them. Mostly because streaming is a constantly evolving industry, so DSP should be trying to learn new tips and techniques on how to improve his streams. He should be learning things about his own industry other than creating a release date schedule.

For all his talk about how busy he is "behind the scenes", he clearly doesn't put an ounce of effort into improving his own stream quality. He regularly admits that he doesn't know anything about new trends or new anything. He knows shockingly little about his own profession.

Not to mention, he's never invested a dime back into his own business. When he did his "Top 10 games of 2018" lazy ass stream (so he didn't have to edit), he accidentally revealed that he doesn't even update his own OBS software. He "can't afford" a gaming PC because his boomer brain still thinks that you need to spend $3000 to get a "gaming PC" when damn near everything is a gaming PC now. When he threatened to slap the 11-year-old girl, the second most important part of that clip was when DSP said "your parents bought you a gaming PC? What's wrong with this picture?" In his mind, "gaming PCs" are outragously expensive when he can probably put together a great one for $1200.


DSP is still running Windows 7. There's going to be a major REEEEMERGENCY on January 15th this year when Windows 7 support ends and all the hackers start using the Windows 7 exploits that they've been researching since Microsoft will no longer patch them. Then DSP will claim that "he didn't do anything wrong; he did everything correct" when not upgrading his software is a MAJOR thing he did wrong. But of course, he'll just pigbitch that Microsoft has no right to not patch things and it's illegal for Microsoft to not protect him forever, just like DSP is convinced Youtube is doing things illegally by changing their algorithm so he can't exploit it anymore. When Youtube changed his algorithm so that people couldn't do clickbait anymore by factoring in time of videos watched, DSP went into a frothing rant that "They watched the ad! I should get paid DOOD!"

I actually think that DSP watches Maximillian streams on the regular and tries to imitate him.
Only that DSP doesn't have the audience and/or the reach to be successful with things that Maximillian does.

If you watch the start of Max's playthrough of Death Stranding one can spot the same kind of "humor" that DSP always tries to do.
Also at the time when the Street Fighter Anniversary Edition came out, DSP copied Max's opinion almost word for word.

Can confirm. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dDLZf9 $1166 (assuming he could figure out how to use the free version of Windows 10) and with the Ryzen 3700x he'd be able to game and stream on the same PC. Could probably even get away with a 3600 if he streamed at 30fps.

He always rants about how all those "Fuckin clown shill streamers and content creators" Like Pewdiepie and Ninja got famous because they followed trends and climbed by overreacting to everything (Because they're entertainers, they have to to retain an audience), failing to realize he "got famous" by playing 60 dollar new releases and nowadays, he screams and overreacts to his audience so they'll throw more pennies at him.

That or they just get off to hearing a 37 year old man clear his throat for a solid minute before snorting all that snot back down in there.

The guy is pulling in ~$130,000 per year with absolute minimal effort. Why are you trying to fix something that ain’t broken?

DSP is the classic case of a millionaire that should be a billionaire, kinda of like his idol Vince McMahon.

Think about how much money DSP is making now, and imagine how much money DSP could be making if he actually gave even an ounce of effort, and wasn't a total piece of shit and a spoiled manchild who burned every bridge behind him.

We speculate that DSP has someone from Twitch in his pocket, but he's also one incident too far away from being banned on Twitch. And what actually happens when he gets banned on Twitch? He streams on Youtube? Mixer?

DSP damn near brags about not having a Plan B, but he doesn't realize just how fragile his Plan A is.

DSP was getting 12 million views a month for several months back in 2011/2012 during a time when he was being paid more than the ads brought in. Years later when ad revenue was worse he claimed a contract he'd been offered at about $2/1000 views was worse than what he had currently.

DSP was once making in excess of $24K/month.

DSP is now living paycheck to paycheck because he not only spent all of his money, he spent a couple hundred thousand dollars of other people's money too.

And we still don't really understand what exactly he was spending it all on.

if phil put effort into his streams
if phil stopped acting like phil
he would be generic streamer #489574
and would probably lose everything and everyone

what can phil bring to the table? life stories? everyone knows about his 4th place win
everyone knows about how everyone betrayed him and he's feed up with this world
his life now revolves around spending money and watching TV
skill? phil just runs at the brick wall of difficulty, and the only time he challenges himself are for gamer points and little highs of dopamine he gets from it
conversation? if you ask him a question he goes I DUNNO and if you tell him something he just says it and leaves it at that
game knowledge? phil is at the "SMB2 = DOKI DOKI PANIC" level
games to him are supposed to let him pass and give him praise
games only exist to get him money
they're not art forms that can tell a story or test your skills

if phil wasn't phil, he'd be nothing

I understand what you’re saying. Maybe if Philip had put a bit of effort into it early on and learned to suppress his personality, he could have been some mid-tier let’s player and streamer. But Philip Burnell’s biggest issue is he’s Philip Burnell, a lazy, talentless asshole. He never could have been a Pewdiepie or a Ninja. He lacks the charisma to be in the entertainment business. The only reason he’s still around is because shamelessly begs on Twitch. Come to think of it, the difference between Philip and a street corner panhandler is the panhandler has the work ethic to get out in public and beg for change.

As much as a I love to agree, I have to disagree at least with the first part, the rest is spot on.
Yes Phil has only a few sad real fans, real orbiters of his work. The rest watches and supports directly for ironic/idiotic reasons, and the biggest part laughs at him from a distance. This is Phil's current advantage over small fries, he is very well known, for one or another reason and I won't doubt people would actually sorta stay with Phil and give him some benefits if he actually learns from his mistakes and tries to better himself. Like a broken car you hated but your effort made it work again. Phil don't has to transform into a machine of hilarious entertainment, with his fame it's enough to get endurable. There are a lot of people who are boring as fuck but due to lucky circumstances the word got out and they have a lot of viewers.

It's a meaningless conversation of course.
Phil never changes, an evil personality always stays evil as long as he lifes.
After that, at least he finally stops streaming.
