@Kheapathic Yeah I understand now that it was very on the nose but I've seen a few khet usernames floating around that are more explicitly derogatory (and were not instabanned from what I've seen). I guess I'll put more thought into my shit attempts at trolling next time, lol. :(

It depends on whether mods are active as well. On later streams, for instance, there's few to no mods around sometimes (also occasionally true during the day), so those names hang around until or unless Phil sees them.

There also appears to be a very direct correlation between how much those accounts tip and how long they're permitted to remain (king_of_hypocrisy, et al). If you really want to troll and stick around you need to open the ol' velcro wallet.

Note: having a velco wallet is fine, but giving DSP money for any reason is not. Do not do it.

His reaction to having to do another companion quest says how much he enjoys The Outer Worlds enough for him to still have not finished it a long time ago

And some cuck dropped another 10 subs. Organic growth

Dood cmaaaaan! He loves playing games for a living dood! He loves playing chill games and having chill streams with his chill audience. What? He doesn't like the game cause khantrabutions are slow? That's bullshit! He already made sure to tell his audience that if they're not there to watch and contribute, they can go watch someone else.

But hey, he didn't dye his hair green or blue and dance around like muppet for that sweet sweet (how much he make this stream? Let me see here...) 35 Dollahs!

I will never understand this.

If you have a streamer you like, just give him the 200dollars. Why would you let twitch take half?
BTW, just for coming up with the whole "gifted subs" idea, Twitch needs to go down one day. FUKIN DISGUSTING.

For a lot of (perhaps even the majority of) it isn't about actually supporting the streamer. Or at the very least, it takes a backseat to the true purpose, which is getting attention. Whichever paypig we're talking about chose to gift subs over tipping because they wanted to be the hero who beat the odds and reached the subgoal. They think it makes them closer to the streamer/community, when in reality, it's just another drop in the bucket given the other number of paypigs doing the same thing in Phil's chat. It is especially baffling with Phil, since other streamers will at least acknowledge and act friendly towards people who sub/donate, while Phil barely acknowledges it. I think with Phil especially, it is more people living vicariously through him. They're donating to "spite his trolls" because they weren't/aren't able to do the same to people in their lives. At the very least, we can all agree nobody is donating because Phil is good at streaming games.

Phil is just bad at everything, including being greedy, so he makes stupid sub goals when he should just focus solely on tip goals, so he can at least get the paypigs throwing money at him in the most optimal way possible. It might be an ego thing for him, so he can convince himself he's growing as a streamer or something.

"We've hit the sub goal, and now we can stop talking about it and start planning it."

So many things faked, but gratitude and enthusiasm are not among them. Was he pissed this took away from the focus on tips or something?

he would absolutely prefer a $200 tip than $125 it will be after twitch take their cut or however much it is

DSP was getting 12 million views a month for several months back in 2011/2012 during a time when he was being paid more than the ads brought in. Years later when ad revenue was worse he claimed a contract he'd been offered at about $2/1000 views was worse than what he had currently.

DSP was once making in excess of $24K/month.

DSP is now living paycheck to paycheck because he not only spent all of his money, he spent a couple hundred thousand dollars of other people's money too.

And we still don't really understand what exactly he was spending it all on.
How exactly does one spend a thousand dollars a pop every month at Thinkgeek.com? Or was it thousands? I can't remember the exact quote. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ThinkGeek Caffeine sodas and candy? Sharper Image geek culture styled meme products? Autism fashion?
It's one thing that confuses me about his shopping/spending addiction: Where is all the shit? Did he just throw it out?

What the...

Someone in chat asked where Jasper was, and DSP called Jasper 'Felix' multiple times, while Felix is one of the characters in the game. Really odd...

Nice reaction, btw. As if the people who noticed you calling your pet a completely different name multiple times without noticing are the weird ones...

Felix is also a derivation of the Latin felis as in, felis silvestris catus, or the domestic housecat, though I don't think Phil is that intelligent. He might just be conflating his cat, Felix (the character in Outer Worlds) and the famous animated character, Felix the Cat.

Alcohol kills more than just drunk-driving thots, kids.

ThinkGeek was the OG "overcharge for geeky shit" site back in the early aughts, alongside eBay. The only reason they went under is that nerd culture went mainstre and they got undercut from every direction (and I think they were partnered with GameStop after a while and whoo talk about strapping on the biggest albatross you can find). Dropping four figures there would have been easy at any point, especially if you're tacky enough to pay top dollar for, say, pixel art to hang on your entryway walls.

Unfortunately, Twitch has removed that functionality. Does anybody know if someone has built a tool that enables seeing who people follow?
Seeing who someone follows on Twitch, am I understanding you correctly? I thought you used DecAPI.

You have this website:

And also DecAPI with the command:

I do use DecAPI for subcount, but I didn't know he had done something for who a person follows. You used to be able to go to twitch.tv/[username]/following and see it there, but they got rid of that.
They have all of these commands if you want to check them:

However I'm not sure how reliable is DecAPI's following command, because I've tried looking for the followings of some people on Twitch, and a couple of them had less names in DecAPI's list than what you'd see with the other website I put.
So if I wanted to be sure, I'd check the list with both websites.

Just gonna throw this out here.

Kat actually bought him a velcro Mario wallet for his birthday 2018.

You can meme all you want, but Phil does in real life have a Velcro wallet.

Another big difference is how they respond to negativity. Max will either address it, side-step it, or silence it; most of the time it's "let's not talk about that" but there have been times he's brought out the ban hammer on people. When he's in game and shit isn't working out, there are moments of "WTF, how do I dodge that?!" but he always tries to maintain a mindset of how to get around things. And he is nice, whether it's an act or not is up for debate (because everyone has haters), but he talks nice, he's married with no problem bringing her on stream or playing games with her, and also invites his friends over and have streams with all of them as well. He's not a paranoid shut-in like Phil; his entourage even go to EVO together, as a group. And even if you run into him out in the wild, he's a nice energetic guy... he's also taller than you might think on camera, dude is over 6 feet tall.

Phil on the other hand, wallows in negativity and is so easy to bait into rants. Whether it's in game or real life, nothing is ever his fault. He hides his wife away and the only thing people get is what she likes or what she's cooking. He goes outside of his house once a week; 52 days a year, and sees nothing wrong with it (good clip in the GTG video from this morning), and is scared shitless of any kind of social interaction because of the detractors. The one thing he tries to do that Max does is ham shit up. But it comes off as fake and forced with his knee-slaps and HAHAHAHAHAAHAH or "JASPER DID THAT!! JASPER DID THAT!" Yeah, we got it, calm down.

He's ten to twenty years too late to become a Max Dood. Project 7 shenanigans aside, if Phil stayed focused, dedicated, and maybe try different projects from time to time (and keep up with the fucking trends), he could've been a Max... hell he was on youtube and shit so long ago, it could've gone the way that Max is another Phil. And I'll use Max's Marvel 3 Assist Me as an example. Shit is corny as hell, lots of over-acting and hamming shit up, but it's entertaining enough and Max goes over things that the characters can do in game. It made him endearing and an entry point for a lot of people into the FGC. Yeah, a lot of the older guys see Max as a paid hype machine (which he is), but he's safe enough for people who may not know shit to get interested in it. He also has other videos to get people interested, I personally like his Boss Rage series; I don't need an introduction to most of the games he plays, but I enjoy watching people get the shit stomped out of them and then overcome the hurdle. He's also safe enough to get sponsorships and other shit, aside from doing honest work for companies on the side. I wrote myself into a corner here, but another thing he does is he doesn't show himself off as human. Max will have his dog, his wife, his friends on stream or out in the wild in real life. Phil used to do that, but won't, and the one time an expectation comes up where everyone would fucking demand he go outside (Panda's brother's wedding); he cucks out for Fallout 4 and being scared of detractors, and he couldn't even front her a ride to the airport and the cost of a ticket to get her ass out there for the wedding either. I'm being hyperbolic, but he's not fucking human.

I know I said it before in the above paragraph, but Phil's chance is gone. If there's one thing he is truthful about, it's that no one is willing to touch him. And when lightning does strike... shit... I can't remember the game. The "Worst game I ever played" review; he fucks off for a week to stay in a hotel. He can't even seize opportunities presented to him; while Max, yeah he's safe, and is a paid hype machine, he has no problem taking risks or trying new things.
Bruh you said all this and I can sum it up in two sentences. Max comes off as an actual normal human with normal interests and hobbies. Dark gave up on that years ago and is a paranoid shut in who responds negatively to all criticism.

I will never understand this.

The real thing to not understand is why they sub bomb this early...we’ve got half a month, how little faith do they have in dark and his ability to entertain an audience that they have to hit a sub goal so soon?

how does a 40yr old man not know the difference between an end user license agreement for consumers private use, and business use

The bigger question is with all the legal expertise he pretends to espouse; why does he think the right to play something, automatically carriers over the right to broadcast it to an audience. I'm not much of those "Where's the fair use" types, but I'm willing to say that due to how the environment is changing, videogames companies that may want to show good graces, is work acceptable streaming stuff into their games. You have companies that get Twitch and YouTube to enforce embargo dates, you have companies like Atlus that say "Don't show past this point of game," but you also have companies like Square-Enix/Disney who put very strict streaming regulations into their game, to the point where you can actually read their requirements by choosing an option in game. I don't have a side in this fight, but can see that streaming being what it is and how it's growing; real solutions are something to look into.

All that aside, Phil should know that contracts tend to be very specific. He tried to play off the whole Laveria/Pultavi thing like "They didn't have my name listed, so they had no right to my stuff." Nevermind, he was earlier talking about milking them for everything he could, even if they had paperwork messed up; thinking he'd be able to get things his way if things went south. Him not understanding the difference is more of his "My business" talk, but also trying to have it be "DSP Gaming is just a YouTube channel." Like any other greedy child, he's trying to have shit both ways.

God no fuck no he's not smart enough go be doing it for any reason other than he's heard of that cartoon. And even more likely, when he got slitwhipped into a cat in the first place, Felix is the name he wanted. But the boss wouldn't let him because yeah, that's fucked up to just rename an animal when they're that old. So now he'll just call him "Felix" intermittently when kitty's not there, taking the gamble on his massa never seeing the stream. Because he is a petulant 275-lb toddler & a basic bitch.

(No disrespect to any kitties named Felix, btw.)
