A transgender girl accused of assaulting two students at a Texas high school alleges that she was being bullied and was merely fighting back

Shocking video shows a student identified by police as Travez Perry violently punching, kicking and stomping on a girl in the hallway of Tomball High School.

The female student was transported to the hospital along with a male student, whom Perry allegedly kicked in the face and knocked unconscious.

According to the police report, Perry - who goes by 'Millie' - told officers that the victim has been bullying her and had posted a photo of her on social media with a negative comment.

One Tomball High School parent whose daughter knows Perry said that the 18-year-old had been the target of a death threat.

'From what my daughter has said that the girl that was the bully had posted a picture of Millie saying people like this should die,' the mother, who asked not to be identified by name, told DailyMail.com.

When Perry appeared in court on assault charges, her attorney told a judge that the teen has been undergoing a difficult transition from male to female and that: 'There's more to this story than meets the eye.'

Perry is currently out on bond, according to authorities.

The video of the altercation sparked a widespread debate on social media as some claim Perry was justified in standing up to her alleged bullies and others condemn her use of violence.

The mother who spoke with DailyMail.com has been one of Millie's most ardent defenders on Facebook.

'I do not condone violence at all. But situations like this show that people now a days, not just kids, think they can post what they want. Or say what they want without thinking of who they are hurting,' she said.

'Nobody knows what Millie has gone through, and this could have just been a final straw for her. That is all speculation of course because I don't personally know her or her family, but as a parent and someone who is part of the LGBTQ community this girl needs help and support, not grown men online talking about her private parts and shaming and mocking her.'

One Facebook commenter summed up the views of many, writing: 'This was brutal, and severe! I was bullied for years and never attacked anyone!'

Multiple commenters rejected the gender transition defense and classified the attack as a male senselessly beating a female.

One woman wrote on Facebook: 'This person will get off because they're transitioning. This is an animal. She kicked, and stomped, and beat...not okay. Bullying is not acceptable, but kicking someone in the head. Punishment doesn't fit the crime.'

From the articles, it seems the sermon was very mainstream and moderate, the very opposite of "hate speech". I'd argue it was likely too pro-troon. Love and compassion are great Christian virtues, but should a Christian use someone's troon name and "preferred pronouns" even though these wrongly represent his sex? My answer is No, for it is tantamount to bearing false witness, which is ungodly. But you might argue, from Roman 14:13-19, that Godly observances that cause your brother to stumble is not necessary recommended, and that peace and mutual upbringing are higher moral principles than mere observance of gender roles.

I suppose -- and I don't have a PhD in Theology like Jonathan "TransEthics" claims he has -- the best thing you can say to a Christian troon is a Buddhist-like advice: don't be attached to your worldly, perishable body and the erotic pleasure it affords you, for in Heaven we will all be given new, perfect bodies. To address you by your "preferred pronouns" increases your attachment to your worldly body and will lead you to fall. It will also set a bad example to those weak in faith (1 Corinthians 8:9). All in all, my answer is still No.

From my perspective, if you're trans and you want to be a "Christian," don't even bother. Christ said to go and sin no more, and Paul wrote that the effeminate and the homosexual are classified along with the drunkard and the liar and the adulterer. There are a lot of options out there if you want religiosity, but you shouldn't turn to Buddy Christ and actively make everyone's lives worse.

What could have the boss really done about many of the issues? Most of them are just about customers acting on their own, customers giving feedback and management reacting to those so that work place can function. “Customer is always right” is common saying for a reason. No one can really force a customer to use service they don’t want to. Sure, you can do the my way or highway but highway means no money for your business and if too many customers take that stance then business will fail. Even if truthfully was just customers being transphobic and the tranny did nothing wrong that doesn’t change much. The tranny was clearly hindrance not an asset, and no boss or business wants that. If anything they had given the tranny a lot accommodations and opportunities despite the negative customer response but that was probably just to avoid legal issues.

I do think employers should not allow customers to be abusive to their employees. However, that's not always practical. If it is one idiot that you can get rid of without much financial loss, fine. But, if you work in an area where the majority of customers are going to dislike a troon and have a problem with it, you can either stand behind the employee (and stand behind them again in the unemployment line when your business tanks) or you can get rid of the employee and keep your business. Sure, it sucks for the troon -- but would anybody be helped by the business tanking just you can make a statement? And, I bet, like most troons, he has trouble keeping a job without significant time off for "mental health" so with or without harassment (assuming he's telling the truth which is doubtful for a troon), he was probably going to get fired eventually anyway.

You say it's very clear, but the consensus on the left is that because of the specificity of the court's findings that the discrimination part of the case is still entirely up in the air. Presumably, the hope is for it to be settled after the court has been altered to the left's liking.
