Let’s play a game Kiwis... here are some 2000s era photos of Scott and Vic... which one is which? 73FFDA78-8E8A-4672-BEA6-418B030E96F8.jpeg8BF21471-8046-4140-B1C7-D5672F1670E3.jpeg

Speaking of Funimation, I noticed something peculiar. I don’t know if anyone is aware, but today is Caitlin Glass’s birthday (she turns thirty-eight). Several fans from both ISWV and KV are wishing her a happy birthday today on Twitter.

But here’s the weird part: I checked through Twitter handles by various Funimation voice actors and as of right now, not a single one of them wished her a happy birthday, which was odd: not Clark, not Palencia, not Mills, not Tatum, not Grelle, not Phillips, not Clinkenbeard, not Schemmel, not Sabat, not even Funimation itself. That could change, of course. But still...

Maybe I’m just overthinking it, but Funimation has wished happy birthdays to many voice actors before to guys like Aaron Dismuke, Jamie Marchi and even Monica Rial. Hell, even TOEI wished Monica a happy birthday and several VA’s had no problem retweeting and liking it. And yesterday, Funimation wished some rando named Alejandro Saab. Considering how nice Caitlin has been towards these people and vice versa, it’s kinda odd that they don’t wish her a happy birthday.

EDITED to include supporting photography to the lower back comments...Apparently he was ‘looking’ not signing.

This is material for fujos...Oh wait, most of them are KV

:story:
Uhm....
UH.....
Ehhh so I think he might the one getting the piggyback ride?

Is this why he started wearing distinct clothing? So he and Scott could be told apart?

You see, dear Kiwis... there was a point in time where he and Scott looked a great deal alike... they were both going to conventions... and Scott would have been, arguably, better known than Vic... Scott is known to drink and go carousing, he’s even been photographed signing a spot on a woman’s back a good bit below her pants waist >.>

I posit that those early 2000s stories may very well have been cases of mistaken identity...

I mean, just look...

Welp, either they read the KF or they are quite late.
Now wait for all the VA's who claims to be her friends to say Happy Birthday just after that.
Since that tweet, only Daman Mills has wished her a happy birthday so far. The rest of the VA’s have yet to say anything. The people who did are mainly the fans. Those VA’s, what a caring community.

Honest to god what I am hoping will happen is that some of the KVers that genuinely thought they saw vic do what it was scott doing will actually think for themselves and maybe realize they might have been mistaken. Optimistic I know but maybe some of the ones not too deep in will see it now.

Well it certainly looks like it could be the case. Mistaken identity.

I also believe a lot of it to be bs, exaggeration and lies still.

PS. Was i right? Cause I was purely judging on height and which one reminded me more of an adorable golden retriever....

Wow. They really do look alike. I couldn't tell who was who until this post. Looks like they could be brothers... How amusing. I would not doubt if people mistaken McNeil for Vic... and thus the drunken Vic rumors were born...

Interesting! So it's possible these 'remembered' stories people started telling when it became hip to tell rumors actually misremembered who it was, because confirmation bias in memories is extremely easy to manipulate. They remember seeing a guy who looked like Vic bumbling around drunk at the cons Vic went to, and remembered a VA being flirty, maybe even handsy (not necessarily in a bad way, but they're viewing it in a purposefully negative light). Thus, they remember 'Vic' being stumbling drunk, they remember seeing someone being pervy with a person they didn't know at a distance, who looked like 'Vic', and they maybe remember flirting inappropriately with someone who memory now tells them is Vic.

The ones who aren't just intentionally outright fabricating stuff like the sharpie throw, anyway.

Note: not implying that Scott did anything wrong - I've only ever heard that he's super great - just that the basis of the stories that they try to twist and blow out of proportion into 'he acted like a creep in retrospect and was super sloshed' may have actually come from people who looked like him. Because as has been mentioned in detail, memories are super unreliable.

That is what I am wondering too. It might just be not all of KV are maliciously trying to destroy vic, but sincerely thought that it was vic from a distance. In present day, Scott looks nothing like he did in the early 2000s while vic does, so it is easy to see why people today think it was vic. Even so, most will ignore it and a few might even try to use young mcneil maliciously to convince people it was vic(looking at tardgurl). Going to guess some of the less vocal ones will silently slither away from this mess.
