Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

The harsh truth, people, is that this is the sign that our current "mythology" is pretty much done for. Because you see, before, the creators of those heroes and cultural landmarks knew that they could profit off of it but in the end, they were building an important part of their culture.
I doubt the ones that created Superman knew just how important their character would become, how they were creating a modern age god that would be "worshipped" and adored by children and adults alike for the decades to come.
However, now that most of those creators moved on to the next world, their legacies have been tarnished and manipulated by the current corrupt degenerate godless establishment. Our cultural "gods" carried a message or theme with them that adapted to our society and ourselves but now they are having those messages and themes re-writing to be current in the worst way possible, all to manipulate the minds of those moving forward.
Star Wars was a space epic of magical swordsmen that showed the journey of a boy becoming a man and the trials that he had to overcome to reach that physical, mental and spiritual maturity. Star Wars taught us that no one is beyond falling to the dark side but never beyond returning to the light either. It taught us to believe in ourselves and something greater (that greater be whatever you decide, it wasnt preachy in any way).
But now Star Wars doesnt feel like star wars anymore, it feels like a giant toy commercial that also seems despered to have a social and existential meaning, its void of true purpose and meaning. If anything, its a good representation of our causeless and increasingly nihilistic society, but unlike the real SW, that would show why thats not good and show us a better way, it instead feeds into that void that they want it to be filled with consumerism supplied by them and them only.
We are in the need to work towards producing new legends and heroes, us, not them. We need stories and legends that threaten the status quo and bring difficult questions and dares to show that yes, life isnt easy and its going to be filled with more bad than good but if you arent part of that good, then its going to eventually fade away. So support indie creators that are slowly rising from the steady extinction of our old brands and companies that once cared.

People need to re-learn the value of creating rather than destroying, even if its for a "good cause" in their eyes.

Look, I understand the point of executives needing to pump out franchises in order to make money. But I don't understand the retarded idea of needing to unnecessarily inject progressive liberalism in franchises that people think don't need to come back.

The box office failures of pointless, woke-filled entries in Star Wars, Terminator, Ghostbusters, Men in Black, and Charlie's Angels ought to wake this morons up at least.

We need more Mythology not less

More mythology so we can take the classic tools and apply them to the current problems

Do it, write your own. I wanted to. I can write like a SOB but I can't draw to save my own ass from failing coloring in kindergarden. I write all the time about things and all it takes is a good solid story that resonates with your audience (People with Money) and you too can be as successful as Ya Boi Zack and @FROG .
Well, Im working on something, I got a very close friend who is great at his art (tho this is as far as Im going, no power leveling). And these dark times only inspire me to build something people remember, both because its what I always wanted

And also because I want to tell the establishment to go fuck itself.

Look, I understand the point of executives needing to pump out franchises in order to make money. But I don't understand the exceptional idea of needing to unnecessarily inject progressive liberalism in franchises that people think don't need to come back.

The box office failures of pointless, woke-filled entries in Star Wars, Terminator, Ghostbusters, Men in Black, and Charlie's Angels ought to wake this morons up at least.

The thing is, you CAN make money without milking the brand. If Charlie's Angels had an actual story and characters (like the 2000's movies tho of course it was nothing great, but it didnt have to), we would have watched it, especially if its a story both men and women can enjoy.
Look at Joker, its a story that men AND women can get behind. True quality, with some exceptions, is genderless for me.
I loved Alita battle angel despite its flaws because Alita was just that likable (and the other characters too in a lesser extent), I was rooting for her because she wasnt a grrrl power character, she was a strong character that fought for all (and, wow, she could actually love a guy and even act like a cutie with him).
Charlie's Angels features a bunch of women that act like they are better than men and are surrounded by cartoonishly antagonist/dumb men. Its made by delusional champaign socialist feminists that think women need to be constantly reassured that they are the best.
At its core, Terminator was all about the story of the power of motherhood, Sarah grew into a powerful fighter yes but she was a mother first (instead of being "wow, what a kickass mother", today its "why does she have to be a mother? She cant be strong if she is one"), nevermind the biblical influences from giving birth to the savior of mankind. Terminator Woke Fate was bleak and void of meaning to its existence, its movies like this that constantly shout "I hate myself and you should hate yourself as well."
I want them to keep pumping flops so we have more fuel to laugh at them and show the younger generations what a bunch of fucking hacks they are.

Exactly, those harpies on twitter are good at DESTROYING culture but what the fuck do they put it in its place? Exactly, nothing, nada. They care more about destroying what makes them feel uncomfortable than building something that tries to tell something meaningful and...you know, not degenerate?

Like their are classical female warrior archetypes in Joseph Campbell's mythology. What if Rey was based around one of those?

Bob Iger (and Alan Horn). They doesnt want US output to depress foreign money. They can deal with Foreign leaks depressing US turnout
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the US turnout (and gross) the most important source of income, even in these globalised times? Why would anyone sane abandon the US market for... Japan, of all places?

You get more money in the US [Especially for SW movies] but they share that money with more stakeholders. In Japan they only split it with fewer stake holders so they get more money

I think they are aware that the movie is going to do shit here in the US, hence the lack of marketing I'm seeing.

nil marketing=lack of confidence+ a shit ton of reshoots eating budget alive

The problem is that they make female characters a paradox.
To make strong females, they remove the female. As if one cant be both.
Look at Sarah and Ripley, badasses and they are both at their badassest saving their "children" from nightmarish monsters. They are strong BECAUSE of that female trait, because of the care and love they have. To the left, thats a weakness, attachment leads to weakness. Its how they envision their ideal "woman", an empty unlkable drone.
If they had Rey get attached to her friends, Luke and Han as a family she's never had, respecting them and not putting herself above them, she could have been a character likable on the likes of Alita even. Why Rey does what she does? Exactly, she does it because the plot tells her to. The only guy she seems to "care" is Kylo, who she should hate and reject as being her foil, he can be her temptation...but eventually she picks the right thing because of what she's learned from those in her life, not because she is a strong wahmen. Kylo vs Rey doesnt work because Rey's shadow, Kylo, starts smaller than her from the get go and keeps shrinking as she grows...tell me a SINGLE match she has lost, exactly, none. (Im starting to notice a patern with my "exactly" here...)

They dont do Male characters any favors either

In a recent interview, Naomi Ackie who plays Jannah in the upcoming film, told Metro UK there may be more questions when the film ends. Not everything will be answered, or more questions may be raised.

Why is it so goddamned hard to make a movie that has a complete, start-to-finish plot for JJ?
And why is that chucklefuck still getting work, his shitty gimmick isn't even half as entertaining as Shyamalan was and people saw through his one-trick-pony bullshit way quicker.

I get there will be questions. There are always questions and nothing will ever get wrapped up completely with a pretty bow.

Well fuckin' gee. The OT somehow magically just managed to wrap up the plot just fine.
Truly, telling a fucking story without it missing half the fucking content to make sense is a lost form of art.

Can't wait for the 5 or so comics and half-dozen books to cover up for Plan IX retroactively.

According to internal data within the Fallen Order, Starkiller Base from TFA is actually an old EU planet we once knew as Ilum which first appeared in the novel Jedi Quest and Genndy Wars (although some of you zoomers may only remember it from Filoni Wars' Gathering episode) where it was one of the most sacred worlds of the jedi and the source of most lightsaber crystals, and I guess Disney hadn't taken a big enough dump yet on past SW lore so they decided to wreck Ilum, destroy the temple and the biggest source of lightsaber crystals before eventually converting into the Death Star 3 XL and then blowing it up in TFA.

The fate of Ilum mirrors the fate of the Galaxy under Disney so nicely...
That is beyond infuriating. My God.

I've noticed many people bringing up a whole bunch of different loose ends that need to be tied up in IX. Well have no fear:

The ending of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker may be the conclusion of the Skywalker Saga, but it may not have all the answers we are looking for.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker may not answer all of our questions when the movie comes out next month.
In a recent interview, Naomi Ackie who plays Jannah in the upcoming film, told Metro UK there may be more questions when the film ends. Not everything will be answered, or more questions may be raised.

Even though it is the finale to the Skywalker Saga, there are bound to be more questions that pop up and a two-and-a-half-hour movie may not be able to capture it all.
Ackie told Metro UK:

It’s her last sentence that actually stands out to me. ‘The story continues.’
I get there will be questions. There are always questions and nothing will ever get wrapped up completely with a pretty bow.
But why does the story continue? What could possibly happen – or not happen – to think the story would continue? Does she mean certain characters live so in essence their stories continue?
Like if Rey is still alive but she defeats Palpatine once and for all, that part of the story is over, but hers continues. She still has a life and her story will go on. Does it mean that?
Or does it mean that Palpatine and the Sith somehow continue to live on and the next generation of Jedi or whatever they want to be called continue to fight this battle and there is never an end in sight because light and dark will always clash?
Or am I reading too much into it?
It’s likely a combination of all of it. Some of heroes will live, good and evil will always exist and I look too deeply into what people looking for a hint of what’s to come.
In just over a month until The Rise of Skywalker comes out. Hopefully, it goes by quickly for my sanity’s sake.
So... even when faced with ending this farce of a series and thus being expected to wrap it all up, JarJar STILL can't fucking be bothered to finish a single goddamn thing; he's too stupid to change his approach and oh I don't know not just dump out plotholes or have the plot holes drive said story (rather than the character, you know, the people you WANT TO CARE ABOUT?) that won't finish after this one.

Idiot. Genuine medically diagnosed idiot.

AND THEY'RE GOING TO GIVE US OVER A FUCKING WEEK TO LEARN HOW SHIT THIS FILM IS, GIVING EVEN THE EUROS TIME TO AVOID WATCHING IT IF IT'S SHIT. Calling it here; they're trying to sink the movie on purpose now so that they can just get it over with and go all in for D-.

The Japan release is something I'm unsure about, but I'll take it with a grain of salt. Star Wars had a potential market in Japan, the Japanese market has proven amenable to space samurai, and that's what the Jedi are. Vader's helmet and mask were inspired by real Samurai armor and there's a sort of Eastern aesthetic for a lot of things there, too. If it is true, though, I expect it to bomb in Japan. They haven't taken TLJ well (from box office numbers) and don't buy into SJW shit.
